LOL. Very true. Especially if you don't at least listen to A Little Help From My friends along with this song. They definitely need to be heard together.

If you like the McCartney screaming vocal, check out "Oh! Darling" and "I've got a feeling" Edit: Oh and before I forget "Long Tall Sally" from the REMASTERED STAR CLUB TAPES from that wondrous time when the Beatles wore all leather and took amphetamines to keep playing eight hours a night. They kinda sounded like the Ramones in that song.

Paul was in a car accident and chipped his front tooth, which started the Paul Is Dead rumor. Their early years were defined by touring/movies and the albums. When the stopped touring and made Revolver they were a bit adrift over their identity. The idea behind Sgt. Pepper was that they could be someone else and free themselves from having to be "The Beatles". The cover of the LP is the funeral of "The Beatles" and their reemergence/evolution as Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The LP was deemed to be a concept LP but they denied it, saying that it was just a series of songs.

One little error, Paul wasn't in a car accident, he was riding a moped and fell off and chipped his tooth, it was in all the fan magazines when it happened, when I was a teen. You can see his chipped front tooth in the videos for "RAIN" and "PAPER BACK WRITER" Your channel is "getting better" cos you are doing more BEATLES and solo songs!! YEAH!!! KEEP IT UP!!

I hate to admit this, but as a little kid in the mid-70s with an older brother, I originally thought Billy Shears was … Peter Frampton!!! My brother had the Frampton/Bee Gees soundtrack of that movie. I hang my head in shame.

This song and "With a little help from my friends" are a unit and should be listened to together. Sgt Pepper is also reprised at the end of the album so the whole album should be listed as a whole. I think "Billy Sheers was a playful name for Ringo. In an early interview, Ringo was asked what he would do when the Beatles ended. He said he wanted to own a hair salon. I think that is the genesis of Billy Sheers.

The McCartney death rumor started When 'Abby Road' album came out. On the album cover you'll notice McCartney is the only one walking across the street without shoes on...People seen that & started creating all kinds of crazy reasons as to WHY. McCartney explains on severel interviews why he did that. "It was a hot day, I didn't feel like wearing shoes"

@@mgman6000 On the white album after Blackbird the gibberish at the end played backwards says "Paul is dead miss him miss him" Revolution 09 on the white album when they say "number 9" played backwards says "turn me on dead man. In the song Glass Onion John sings "the walrus was Paul" Walrus' were death symbols in Scandanavian cultures. On the Sgt. Pepper cover if you look closely there's a car in flames by the little girl looking at the candle.Paul wears a black rose in the Sgt Pepper inner sleeve. Paul is barefoot and out of step with the other Beatles on the Abbey road cover. Sgt. Pepper cover the word Beatles is in the shape of a left handed guitar. Young wax figure Paul consoles Ringo with a hand on his shoulder-many other clues abound in the songs and other album covers. End of Strawberry Fields Forever a voice allegedly says I Buried Paul (it actually says Cranberry Sauce according to John Lennon).

One of the remarks John Lennon supposedly had about "Sgt Pepper's" album was that - in the much more conservative 1960s - the cover had marijuana plants on the drums' sides, and no one - not the fans or critics or radio stations folk or religious figures - questioned/mentioned them...

John didn't sing lead vocals on Sgt Pepper. The section you think is sung by John, is really sung by Paul, John and George in unison. The thing is, that when Paul and John sung in unison(which they did a lot, especially in the early days in songs like I want to hold your hand and She Loves you), it sounded like one voice, more similar to John's voice than Paul's ( maybe because Lennon's is more nasal ).
@martyrea792 жыл бұрын
That little section is sang by John.

Not John, sang by Paul and John and George in unison. "Later that evening, at 7 pm on February 2nd, the group reconvened at EMI Studio Two to overdub the vocals onto tracks three and four of the previous sessions' "take nine." Paul sang his blistering lead vocals and then John, Paul and George harmonized the chorus and bridge vocals. Three additional vocalists apparently joined in on the chorus, as noted in the diary of Mal Evans. In an entry dated February 2nd, 1967, Mal wrote: “Recording voices on Captain Pepper. All six of us doing the chorus in the middle, worked until about midnight.” His reference “all six of us” seems to indicate that Mal, fellow roadie Neil Aspinall and Ringo all contributed to the “hope you will enjoy the show” vocals of the chorus late that evening. Apparently, however, they were placed quite low in the mix as to be barely discernable if at all present". Taken from www.beatlesebooks.com/sgt-pepper-song

Supposedly Billy shears took over from Paul when he supposed died. Which is probably pretty much nonsense. The weird thing is there is a funeral Paul McCartney attended and a couple do say to Paul. Hi Billy how are you. Which is filmed. Which is definitely strange.

On the cover of Sgt Pepper, Paul has a hand hovering over his head...It's supposed to be a sign of death. At their feet, is what looks like a freshly turned grave, covered in flowers and a LEFT-handed guitar made of flowers. On the reverse, printed below the lyrics, is a photograph of the four Beatles in their Sgt Pepper clothes. Paul has his back to the camera.....Is it Paul? Or an imposter.....Spooksville.....In the same photo, George's index finger is pointing to a line from the song ''She's leaving home.'' The line reads ''Wednesday morning at five o'clock as the day begins.'' This is supposed to be the exact date and time Paul crashed his car...
