The session for 'Every Little Thing' (as well as 'What You're Doing'). Many believe that it's John's double-tracked vocals during the verses (I used to as well), but the photo of John and Paul together at the microphone confirms that it is indeed Paul who's singing the lower part to John's higher part. So many great photos taken during this session-they all look great (the clothes, instruments, hair). Lennon looks especially cool here.

Hand-tuned timpani, I see. I played once on a pair of hand-tuned Ludwig & Ludwig timpani with skin heads. It was a rainy day, and even though we were indoors, the heads kept loosening from the humidity.

Amazing? Did Elena work for Beatles Monthly? Where are all of these pictures coming from? Interesting that they found use for a timpani in two songs. Also cool to be seen using Johns Ric upside down. Can’t imagine how he could play it that way. Thanks!

Fender were playing them with loads of gear samples hence bassman never used live all beatles gigs are heavily edited too . No way a real exact answer can be found who used what
