This is LIGHT YEARS beyond all other attempts at mixing the demo with the Lomax version. I can easily hear this being on the White Album. The sound of the vocal is exponentially better and the balance of the instrumentation is also so clear and well-positioned now. You are a master!

He played on at least one song (and sometimes many songs) on all those albums, as well as "Jamming With Edward," recorded during 1969 during a time when no Stones regular guitarist was available (Brian Jones was dysfunctional but hadn't been officially let go yet, Keith Richards was on a brief strike, and Mick Taylor had not joined) and released in 1972 and featuring Hopkins, Jagger on vocals, the regular Stones rhythm section of Wyman and Watts, and Ry Cooder on guitar.

Nicky Hopkins was such a talented keyboardist who added a boost to everything he played on. I remember when I heard the remix of ‘Sympathy For the Devil’ and was floored how amazing his playing in the song was, almost like I heard him for the first time. Here, he does it again. Revolution 9 was an astonishing experiment. It definitely deserved its place on the White Album. Sour Milk Sea is an excellent 'pop' track but - as has been pointed out - a very close cousin to Savoy Truffle. IMHO, as a former audio engineer, the mix is 'muddy' and lacks the crispness to make it a radio hit.
