Very true. Scares me how many are out there fooling people. I did a video on a fake In Mono set also. And a fake U.S. Albums set. I luckily never came across the fake stereo set.

This was a cool box set. I agree with you on the sound, I think they sound very good, and still hold up well today, in particular, Please Please Me and Beatles for Sale! I do like the packaging on the Mono box and US Albums box better though. I wish they had used the mini LP jacket and sleeves on this one. Great video as usual!

Mini-LP’s would have been great with this. But I think they wanted this as a more mass-market release and mini-LP would not be as appealing to the masses. Plus it makes the In Mono set more special. But I’ve always liked the sound. Maybe someday soon they’ll reissue it as mini-LP though.

Lucky me, I got my fake copy for the price of a real one. It's a hassle to find all these fakes out there and it makes it hard to want to buy online. Great video. Thanks for sharing your box set

I got this right away. Great set! I'm sticking with it. At my age, the only further upgrades I want are the big sets with the books and extra discs. No way I'm going to go vinyl at this point. I guess the big market for fakes wasn't around yet when this was released, but there are probably fakes of this by now.

There are fakes of this box out there. But glad you got it right away. I wonder if when they get all the stereo remixes done, that they won’t do another album collection box like this with all of those.

Ooh, looks like you have a first (or at least early) pressing - the Magical Mystery Tour disc says "Let It Be documentary". I have the EU version of the white album and the text color on the back of the o-card is black; on the US version it's gray. On Past Masters (they really need to retire that title), I wish they used the LP labels like they did on the mini-LP versions. (I've recently picked up a bunch of used copies of Pepper, white album, Submarine, Abbey Road, and Let It Be. I'll be using them as the discs for a second run of custom mini-LPs - this time featuring the missing albums from the US box set. Video soon.)

I’ll be watching for that. I hope Apple will reissue this soon all in Mini-LP packaging. Might be a good idea to wait for all the new stereo re-mixes. Put that mix as the stereo and also include the mono mix of each.

@@BeatleDustino I hope so, too - I'd still buy them. The Capitol boxes and the US Albums box is a precedent that Apple isn't averse to re-releases in better configurations. I just hope they'd use the Capitol masters by then. They're not exactly the best mixes, but they are more authentic. Come to think of it, they haven't released the US albums set on vinyl - that might come first.

I’d really like to see a US Albums vinyl box set. But with the true Capitol mixes. Would be nice too if they included both stereo and mono. But that would get expensive.

such a great set. The best sounding stereo version CDs of these albums apart from the albums that have since been remixed are in this set. As the rest of the albums get the remix treatment I guess this set becomes redundant for playing but the presentation is still superb

I keep thinking after they remix all the albums they could do a new box set featuring all the new stereo mixes plus the mono mixes where available. Would be nice in mini-LP packaging too. But yes, I’ve always liked the sound of these.

I ended up buying all the Japanese mini LP CDs as I really didn't like these digi pack design. They did such a good job on the US set of mini LP CDs artwork I wish they would go back and re do these. The booklets are fine and documentaries are cool. if you still want to sell or trade for your "fake" sets let me know .. take care

Strangely enough, my sister found the entire box for me…at a thrift store…for 40 bucks! I took a close look, and lo and behold it’s one of the fakes from China. Nevertheless, I gave the discs each a spin, and as long as those work, what the hell…I’ll live with that. The Mono set can only remain a fantasy set for me, as the current asking prices are a strict “No Way”. You take what you can get.

@@monaural2.988 as long as they sound good. I got both an In Mono and US Albums fake set. Neither of them sounded good to me. I have a video on the US Albums one already up. And the In Mono should be out soon.
