@RATTLED BY THE RUSH I mean it could have been a B-side or something. They turned Matchbox into a single. Slow Down too. Surely ATOH would have found a place easily as one of those early singles. There were just many more deserving songs of that spot in my opinion. Where Have You Been, Keep Your Hands Off My Baby, Ain’t She Sweet, Soldier of Love, So How Come No One Loves Me, To Know Her Is To Love Her, the list goes on. I kind of feel the same about Till There Was You on With the Beatles. I like Till There Was You, I don’t think it was the best fit for that album, it should have been a single instead.

Surely when they were doing the Anthology CDs, they could have cleaned up some tracks, like they did with That'll be the day, and In Spite of all the danger. If not, surely, they have the technology to clean up these tapes to a quality that would be worth buying. So historic. The Star Club performance.

Its probably the thought that you can never see them live and can't go back to that time when they performed, it is for me at least, and its just a shame that that time is gone. Yeah, I'm confused about this recording. I've heard the official Star Club performance and it's always sounded poorly edited together. George's solo cuts in where the second verse should be, and then repeats. Here, it sounds exactly like a full unedited version of that recording. Is it? Either it's an important find, or it's a very impressive reproduction of that recording.
@BassicVIC6 жыл бұрын
donworks No. I know what you mean. This one version is the only existing recording of The Beatles playing this beautiful song. This is the full unedited recording as they played it. Then you can hear the edited version in which someone had the gut to cut the second verse and pasted the guitar solo twice where the second verse should go.
