Brilliant track - Paul Heaton - never been properly recognised as the genius that he undoubtedly is.

Why wasn't this song ever released on any The Beautiful South albums. Pretenders to the Throne was only released on CD and cassette as a single. This song is among The Beautiful South's best songs.

I believe it's on one of their single compilations. I know it's on the two CD set of Carry On Up The Charts

Love the Beautiful South they stood the test of time. I agree with previous comment that Paul Heaton and Jackie Abbott haven’t had the recognition they deserve. Still love listening to the Beautiful South and Housemartins CDs. Just great! ❤

Love them too, just posted this video two days ago. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXiZf2xsr899qdE Paul Heaton was brilliant at Glastonbury last weekend. Some were saying he was THE best act. Last year they said the same about Rick Astley and The Blossums doing the Smith songs.

You just have to love his lyrics and the humour in them - Is it Dublin with it's culture and it's wit? Madrid with it's market square? Paris with it's bustling cafes? Hull with it's musical flair?
