The Beauty of Bioshock 2 | Flurdeh

Bioshock will forever be my favorite set of games, it's hard to choose one above the others. Both Columbia and Rapture are beautiful in their own ways. Between the first game, second and the Infinite DLC's it's amazing to see Rapture from all different angles. Infinite brought all three of the games together. Beautiful video, the music is so light and relaxing and it's making me want to replay the series all over again.

Returning to my favourite setting in video games one last time (for now?) with the only Bioshock game in the series I hadn't done yet. Which of the Bioshock games do you prefer?

My favorite is Bioshock 2 for sure! It deals with more personal/emotional themes and It was very effective on it. By far my best experience with Bioshock and the most fulfilling ending I've seen (I got the good ending and almost cried)

I love this game on as deep a desired level as anything that may impact and change me in this world. As the sun, as the rain, as favorite song, as a heartbreaking book that I can never stop opening myself back up to. My first ever true solo horror game, and where a bit of my life's moments will forever be dedicated to. I dream about this game, it's messages hopefully reaching many, and belief in a person's choice, the power of those choices shown, no matter the playthrough good or nightmare. And then, how far out choices reach out into the ripples of the world, even when one lighthouse cannot guide all through the nights sea, we can choose to seek out our own lights in the darkness. Delta devoured yet lives to speak, through the daughter shaped by him bellow your missions of power, something strong instinctually now walks in notoriety for it chose. And even when choices float grievances overhead, where even Vita chamber could not respark those dead, we despite all the heavy pressure around us can choose again. We may choose with words we may choose with alliances let me choose with weapons and tonics or to go brute and ignore all sciences. Some choose with others lives but I love that in game we choose with hours, memories of the past in cards that are dealt despite a splicers or those abused respite, we do not cower though we feel fear we also feel the power of every mechanic and gameplay choice we become more than players and more ourselves with every game play hour.

Not as thought-provoking as the original but it's still a solid game. Would definitely play again :)

The main game definitely didn't have the same feeling for me as the original Bioshock did, but the Minerva's Den DLC was where its really at, really enjoyed that.

@@Flurdeh I always kinda wish they had combined the main storyline with Minerva's Den. Like you need to find Eleanor but also regain your identity. Would have been a great plot twist to know that the "Atlas" of BioShock 2 was you all along.

All three games are good, I believe if you play 2 first you'll spoil a lot of things from 1 for yourself though

I have not yet, I've seen screenshots of it in the past and always thought it looked cool so I do want to go check it out sometime
