The Beauty of BTS' Cinematography

BTS's cinematography is part of what made me a fan. Each music video tells a story. All of their mvs are beautiful. The Fake Love mv was the first mv I watched from BTS and I was amazed!

i know this video is different from my usual content, but it was really born from a place of love. although this is a music-centric channel, i'm an intensely visual person - i've always been drawn to the cinema of bts' videos, and it was the first thing about them that made me pause when i first discovered them seven years ago. at the end of the day, they're storytellers. i wanted to make a dedication to that a lá The Beauty Of, and so this was born. i hope it moves you all as much as i was moved to make it 💜 love you, ARMY!

I love how each minute the colour focus changes too. the video started with red themes which later went to yellow hues, later a blue tint that transitions to stark white and ended on black shadows and silhouettes!

color was my guiding light while making this. i started with a 27-minute supercut of what i thought were the absolute best shots, and only managed to trim down to this due to how the colors spoke to me. good eye, noticing that!

I’ve recently fallen out of touch with BTS but I have to say that they will always have a special place in my heart. I first learned about them in 2018 and began my journey as an army in early 2019. I’m so proud to have been a fan of theirs and I will never forget them. Never have I ever felt or do I think I will ever feel as much of a connection to another artist. They shaped who I was a lot in the few years I have devoted my time to supporting them. In 20 years time, I will still love and support them unconditionally. These boys are everything to me and I can’t thank them enough. I wrote this I guess as a little closure to this part of my life. I’m growing up and my life is changing a lot but as cheesy as it sounds, I’ll always be a little bit of a fangirl. Borahae Army 💜

i myself originally discovered them in 2015, and fell out of touch with them a few years ago around 2018. but things have a funny way of circling back for me... wherever you end up, i hope it's somewhere that brings you peace and joy 💜

Being a insanely visual and person with a rather artistic perspective I love how beautifully you’ve transmitted their cinematography dynamics in one collection, truly defining how each bit of it conveys a different and a vast plot, a tale of its own. I want to work with image and cinema when I get the chance to. BTS’ cinematography is a really big inspiration to me, I often wish I could have the resources to make art as great as they do. The first MV from them I remember watching was Blood Sweat and Tears, I was already down for them since that moment Your video makes an excellent job at capturing the beauty in their art, and tbh I wish we got more of those meaningful and visually appealing MV’s

the editing of this was BEAUTIFUL. the storytelling and almost renaissance painting-like frames of their music videos were one of the first things that really made me interested in their music and art. seeing all those beautifully composed scenes in one video as artistically edited like this gave me goosebumps.

This is one of the reasons I started listening to their music and consuming their content! Their mv are filled with astestry, watching music videos such as BST and black swan is an astonishing visual experience. Yes Pop and Kpop is known to have high production music videos, but in bts´s mv you can really tell there is a clear art-cinematographic direction.
