@@Blacklighten Finally saw it last night! What a brutal reveal. The layers of secrecy and how knowledge in this case doesn’t set anyone free but rather lock them in a complicity of silence. I wanted some compassionate resolution at the end…for the 2 characters to hold each others hand, something, anything…but there is no comfort here. There is no resolution. Yes the film is not existential in this lack of resolution but rather more stoic. A horrifying accident that cannot be properly mourned… shockingly not a conclusion but more a resignation… Thank you for another wonderful unpacking

Keep up doing this kind of excellent review. This was a superb movie. Although one might think its ok to watch such movies on TV, I can tell you the theatre experience did something else to your involvement in the movie. I remember the interval bloc shot where Appu Pillai is on the balcony staring to the site of skeleton excavation in agony and the camera zooms in on him with the whole surround sound, it was a goosebump moment..you won't get that high on TV.
