It's a good movie, people just has to stop watching movies with a blueprint in their mind of exactly what a film should be. This film to a risk, and it succeeded in the eyes of open minded viewers, not so much in short sighted viewers.

I REALLY didn't like this movie when I first watched it. I was viewing it with the expectation of it being a straight forward revenge film where Ryan Gosling beats people up and kills them like John Wick mixed with Driver. After rewatching it two more times I wanted to slap past self for looking down on this movie. It was a really risky movie to make and I greatly appreciated a large amount of the technical and artistic elements. Even though the characters and story struggle compared to Drive, I greatly appreciated the movie overall. A great film.
