What’s sad is so often these so-called refutations are refutations of individuals not of issues. Someone brings up the mistakes of one person and they use the mistakes of this one person to discredit this person totally from any contribution to Islam and this without a doubt is not what the Sheikh is talking about. Of course, if someone is completely ignorant and speaking without knowledge whatsoever, then of course it is from good advice too warn against him. But often times someone just throws a term as in this guy is ikhwani/sururi/sits with innovators ect and then they use this to discredit any contribution This person has done to knowledge or dawah.

Jazakalahhukhayraa, although i think that refute isnt really a good translation for radd, refutation is more aggressive, its like an attack, radd is closer to response or correction. And jazakalahhukhayraa for everything dear brother.
