Awesome Bec!! As I think your a beautiful model and look forward to seeing more of you on the other side of the camera as today which you looked so lovely. Love the way Peter captures the eyes and you lovely long hair as I think he gets the best shots of a model when she can feel comfortable around the photographer and choose her own clothes as well. To me this is where her true beauty shines as seems to many photographer want to capture more things than the beauty of the woman in her natural state. Love Peter's shirt too as that is a great shot of you as well and I would bet that Peter is liking your decision to go back to modeling again as you both I bet are going to have a awesome 2020 in the photos and shoots you two do together. Looking forward to them!!! 👼👍😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

This video explains the relationships that produce the best photos.. So many people with cameras think that the gear is going to give us the result. The interaction the understanding and finding something that we didn't know was within both the photographer and the model is what makes the best photo.

thanks guys, yet another brilliant tutorial, man its the rapport with each other you can see it, because you both fall into work mode within a milli-second 'bang' done and relax. neat... I can see you get it because its the eyes, I can see there is no fear, its trust, maybe even an admiration of the talent of the photographer (yeah whatever, I was laughing when I typed it,) loved the vid. love your stuff, its great to watch, I may never reach the heady heights of having a Bec's as a model, assistant or friend, (Christ! that makes me out to be a saddo, look, I do have friends no matter what the papers said!!! sorry, ) your just good to watch, you are sooo good. will catch you up on the next vid, no comment on Bec's top or nearly top, but, when it says 50-75 % off! its not always the price. looks brilliant. My experience over the course of a decade is that when I said you can wear whatever you want 9 out of 10 models brought boring, basic clothes and most of the time the clothes were full of lint or animal hairs. So I decided to keep about 40 to 50 pieces of clothes, dresses, trousers, blazers, shirts and tops. It's easier that way but it comes with extra work as I have clean the clothes after a shoot.

To me the assistant looks cute and nerdy in her glasses, and with her quick wit and personality she just brightens the room. Then the glasses come off and the model appears, not unlike Clark Kent taking off his glasses and turning into Superman. All I can think is why is this model not on the cover of Vogue every single month?

Okay my thoughts here: Since I am following you and Bec, the rest of the channels become so average (to give the benefit of the doubt) Where you guys often do magic with one light and a reflector, or a piece of Polystyreen, others try to complicate stuff with tons of strobes and the results are not even close to 10% of you are producing. And Bec, the way she is acting as a normal girl around you and turn into a model for the camera in a heartbeat, is amazing makes me want to change my name to Mr. Timberlake ;-) And last but not least, no crapy background music !!! Anyways, thanks for sharing, dying to see the next video, have fun down under, greetings from up above !!

I started getting back into photography a year ago. Was gifted my 1st DSLR camera. As my parents saw and heard about my eye for capturing the light, I was using a cell phone up to then. I had an accident 6 years ago, am still waiting on 3 mobility operations to resolve. So photography, music production/djing, youtube and my pup are my life. Hey Peter, I know you're almost always producing B&W, but if you did choose to make a version with both, how much work are you doing in Phocus/Capture One to the Raw? Are you exporting a "finished" version of each? Wouldn't that double the retouching? I personally have developed a Rountrip C1 workflow, and I'm curious on your thoughts...? In Capture One I prepare a color file (White balance, Exposure, and some slight contrast, while maintaining lots of highlight/shadow detail), but nothing approaching the final look. (I almost always avoid local adjustment tools because I find them laggy, and lacking next to photoshops selection/masking tools). I then Export a PSD (using the Camera Profile, not converting to Adobe RGB 1998 etc). Then, I perform retouching work, but mostly avoid color work unless it's a localised correction, or something that requires complex masking like hair. I then save the PSD, and it's automatically "updated" next to the RAW in Capture One. Only then do I make creative choices (on variants made from the retouched PSD) using the excellent tools in Capture, which (because I maintained the camera profile) work the exact same way as they would have if used directly on the RAW. All my user styles perform identically too. Because nothing was clipped during export, pretty much all my data is still available to me, and I feel like IF I am sacrificing quality by not making creative choices at the RAW stage, I honestly can't tell. One benefit is that I can make multiple versions (variants), such as color, b&W, and experiment between more/less contrasty versions, or odd looks. And I haven't locked these in until the end, so I'm not stuck with a bad choice made in step one. The other benefit is that I gain the ability to only retouch once, produce multiple (fully retouched) versions, and if I did mess up some retouching, going back to the original PSD allows me to update/change any mistakes, which will then be reflected in all those variants. In my old workflow, I'd make a "perfect" or near perfect Color version from the RAW. I may maintain some shadow/highlight info, but the look at this stage was more or less baked in. Then I'd retouch. If I later decided that I didn't like my look, I'd have to retouch again, or try and do things like remove contrast later, which I thought gave worse results. I also tried making colour and B&W versions, but that doubled my retouching. P.S. Bec is incredible. :)

Many thanks for sharing this session, with you Peter and Bec in front of the camera. There is a concept that has taken root into my head by watching these videos: the factory of dreams. We all have seen these comercial movies for young people where guests enter into a factory and they can see how the things they desire the most are made (e.g. chocolate, toys,…). In some way I have the same view with these sessions. I would, obviously, like to replicate Peter’s photographs, but if I look deeper inside me, and I want to be honest to myself, I would rather prefer to replicate the “factory”, that factory of dreams. Best photography with the best phrase at 17:10: “…because in my shots I’m only looking a her eyes…”. I think this phrase should be handwritten in this photography.
