Such a beautiful song and a beautiful video showing the Gibb brothers at their young age. I have always been a big fan of Barry (maybe because of his looks 😉) but I also do love the angelic voice of Robin. The more I listen to Robins voice , the more I love him . Let us never forget that also Mo had a wonderful voice...the three voices always blended so very harmonic. (Hope I say it right as I speak Dutch ) Robin, Maurice and Andy will never be forgotten by us , Bee Gees fans. May God Bless Sir Barry with many more years in good health. What a fascinating find, Brenda! As usual, Robin is in early form vocally. I love the “Odessa” album contents, although I do recall the fallout that ensued, ever grateful that they did reunite again in 1970 - stronger than ever. Thank you for sharing this!

It was a double kick in the teeth for Robin. It wasn’t just that Barry’s song was the first single. With Robin on the B side, any singles bought by his fans, were credited to the A side. I don’t 5:03 blame him for quitting. Unfortunately that pattern persisted for decades. Barry would get the A side and Robbin would get the B side or a bonus track aka musical oblivion.

Maybe it’s my all time favourite early days song , yes it should been the A side. First of May was also worthy of the A side slot, I think the powers that be got it wrong, maybe the Bee Gees would not have split up like they did with a little more guidance from people around them . I like this alternative better I think than the one that was put out. To think this song being on a or b side was part of why they broke up for a time. I'm glad that they mended the fences and got back together as a family and band.
