Way back in the day, I had heard quite a few Bee Gees songs, probably not knowing who sang them, particularly How Can You Mend, but once I heard Fanny, that did it for me, and I was buying their albums right and left, as the geniuses that made that song, I just had to see what other gems they had which didn't make it to the radio (although Fanny did of course). About the time they burned out with disco and going to yet another new style, which I didn't like much, then came Andy, and he was better than they ever were, simply because every single song on his albums were good enough not to skip to the next track. The remarkable thing about Andy too, no two songs of his sounded alike, nor did any of it sound like the Bee Gees, apart from them maybe doing background vocals at times.

Yes please do Tragedy. Listen for the "thunder" sound. I remember seeing a TV show about all the ways they tried to get the sound just right, and they ended up with Barry just vocalizing the thunder. Very cool. 🌩⚡

They show the studio version of how they did that explosion sound, it was Barry and they added sound effects to make it right, it's on Utube, look under the making of tragedy! 🥰

That was Barry. He has two very distinctive voices, the highest and the lowest. Gorgeous~

In that song began the falseto. In life perfomances was Maurice who did it. 😘🇪🇸

That is Maurice singing falsetto at the 3:57 mark!

The slow bridge was Barry with Robin & Maurice in harmony. I hope you do "Fanny (Be Tender With My Love)". That is one smooth soul classic and there's a video to go along with it.

Barry did the falsetto riffs on the recording - but Maurice did it live on Midnight Special.

In the live versions I’ve watched, Barry sings the majority of the song. Robin sings the second part of the verses. Maurice sings the super high parts in the chorus.

Yes in the Midnight Special Live version BUT in this studio recording its Barry singing all the falsetto as well.

Surprise! If you see this video, it’s not Barry singing the falsetto/high part, it’s Maurice. They are so good. They switch up and you can’t tell who’s singing what until you see the video. They are TOO GOOD!!!❤️

How excellent were these brothers? Precision. Artfulness. Balance. And most of all. Unique voices with a blend that only siblings can achieve. Wonderful!

Entire album is not typical disco music of BG, and the one of greatest hits in on the album, - Jive Talkin' :)

I’m glad they’ve come from some obscure group of the 70’s to you to be able to identify each of the brothers later by their voice and style

Not sure when they were obscure?not in my lifetime

They were never obscure and started in the '60s.

Everyone needs to actually read the original post, and apparently very slowly, to understand how they were an obscure group of the 70's...hint: it is the two words right after 70's.

Love that you are doing the older Bee Gees songs because it really shows off the wonderful harmonies. Many people thought that they were just disco. Oh no. Thanks for exploring everything, If you want something absolute amazing try Guilty by Barry and Barbra Streisand.

One of the things I love about this song is that they came out swinging! You can feel the power right up front. 💘

Javon, what a great reaction to "Nights on Broadway"! Can't wait for "Tragedy". Don't make us wait to long! And recognizing Robin's fantastic voice after only "Massachusetts" and "I Started a Joke" truly amazed me! Don't forget "your man Robin" and try to react to a few more of his lead vocals such as "I Can't See Nobody" and "And the Sun Will Shine". Their 1974 Melbourne concert is a great one to use. Thanks again, Javon!
