SO HAPPY!! Your getting to some of their newer stuff! This song is so freat! I love the way they layer the vocals and your right! Even though the lyrics are about being alone and unrequited love, the upbeat tempo is just HAPPY! I told you a couple of times that you would really love their newer stuff. Barry is STILL recording but with his sons and Maurices daughter Samantha. Still writing great music. Barry will be 74 on Sept. 1st, which is also his 50th Wedding Anniversary! A WELL LIVED LIFE! Its time to hear a Maurice song! His voice is also beautiful, and is the melodic foundation of all their songs. Barry said it this way, Maurice was an EXPERT harmonizer. He always found the perfect pitch to complimant Robin and Barrys pitch. People dont often realize that alot of the falsetto parts were MAURICE! You picked up on it in "Nights on Broadway". Thats why I suggested that you might want to watch live performances so you coulds see who was singing which parts. In the 70's the Bee Gees started working with a famous producer, Arif Mardin, who asked them if any of them could "Scream" in tune, lol! THAT is how Barry discovered he could sing entire songs in falsetto! Try one of these, "Man in the Middle", Maurice wrote it partly about how he was always the middle guy, the peacemaker between Barry and Robin who at times would were competitive growing up. "Closer Than Close" a modern grown up sensous love song. Maurice Maurice was never given the due he deserved. He played MANY instruments and wrote songs as well, and his voice was beautiful. Trivia, NONE of the Gibbs could read or write music! EXTRODINARY!

First time I heard BeeGees I was 12 back in the 1980s and instantly fell in love with them. Of course what stuck to your brain is Barry's voice.

@Diana Gero I am fond of all of them but he swallowed things for the sake of the group. You might Google his interview with Lynn Redgrave which is about 30 minutes. Very insightful. Lovely man and family.
