❤ Where has this video been hiding for the last two years?? I love it!! One of the best out there for beginners (like me). So helpful for terminology of weaving.

Fantastic video. I have watched so many “beginner” videos that don’t touch on any terminology at all or even show the most basic beginner concepts. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.

@@Curly_n_Yarny Great. I received on 30th May. I have done 5 scarves so far - Using 2 - gifted 3. My only regret - I should have bought a 32 inch instead of 16🙂 but it's ok. Thanks for the awesome videos

thank you for this.. I've learned most of the vocabulary from watching all the videos out there, but this is the first one I've seen that really went through each of them like that.. so kudos to you for doing it... Now I need to start trying warping and weaving and patterns.. Would be interested in more videos on types of yards/threads to use with different DPIs and what working with 2 Heddles can do for a piece of work...

Thank you for this simple explanation. I am interested in weaving, and I keep hearing these terms and don't really know what they are - until know of course!

Nice and simple. Looks like a heddle will work for doing what an inkle loom can do and lots more. wanting to do straps and belts. The way I'm going to go for my first loom.

I don't know much about inkle looms! But weaving with straps and belts sounds like a lot of fun 😊

Beautiful explanation of all the loom parts. My RHL is arriving next week and I have never woven before - absorbing as much information as I can in the meantime!!!

How do u know how tight to leave the slevedges? Is it right against?
@Curly_n_Yarny2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure I understand your question. I have just made a new video about weaving neat selvedges. Maybe it can help 😊! Here's the link : kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2auhKWheLWFbqs

Hi! What size loom is this and did you “finish” it yourself or did it come lacquered already?
@Curly_n_Yarny4 жыл бұрын
Hi! This is an Ashford 32" (80cm). It came unfinished and I stained it myself.
@TheNurseCupcake4 жыл бұрын
@@Curly_n_Yarny i am planning to stain mine when it comes. I've never done anything like that before and there seems to be barely any videos showing how to finish the loom. Do you mind telling me how you did yours?
@Curly_n_Yarny4 жыл бұрын
@@TheNurseCupcake Hi! I used some wood stain, color dark walnut. I stained all parts of the loom before assembling them. Usually, you can rely on the instructions on the stain container. Personally, I applied it with an old rag. Waited about 10 minutes for the stain to penetrate the wood and then I used another rag to wipe the excess. I hope it helps you!
@TheNurseCupcake4 жыл бұрын
@@Curly_n_Yarny yes this is super helpful! thank u!! :) btw did u sand it down first before applying the stain? And did you have to wait overnight to let it dry before getting it warped?
@Curly_n_Yarny4 жыл бұрын
@@TheNurseCupcake Yes, I did sand it down. The Ashford looms even come with the sand paper! Also I waited at least 24 hours before putting the loom together.
