THANK YOU SOO much for solving this annoying problem. I noticed this from the very first project I wove, just a few short weeks age. I couldn't understand why it was happening, and thought it had something to do with the fact that I was right handed, since the problem was always on my right side. Clipped that slot bugger and now all is perfect! You are the absolute best instructor. Stay healthy and enjoy your new home.

That's one of the downsides - you have to go with an odd number of ends. If anyone has a workaround for that, please let us know! 😊

I was pondering this and am stuck on how cutting the one thread won't leave an unattached thread when you get to the end of the weave.
@KellyCasanova
@KellyCasanova 3 жыл бұрын
That hasn't happened to me, but if it did, I would just weight the loose thread over the back of the loom. Easy ☺️

Can you tell me what are the "sticks" you are using? It looks like they make it easier to start straight lines. :) Thanks!
@KellyCasanova
@KellyCasanova Жыл бұрын
The sticks I use at the start of the weaving are cardboard separators. I use them to help organise the warp and close the gaps before I start weaving.
@ImGinaMarie

Since you are dropping a thread, would this be a problem when using a pattern?

Yes, that would have to be taken into account 😊

I guess so, I just like to retie the bunch to tension it nicely again after removing the slot thread.
