Awesome … thanx for listening to my rant about all the garbage “download” buttons and re-doing this video and showing more concise information about downloading 👍

A very comprehesive overview of the software. Thanks, Hayden, for explaining all the incredible features. I love the multiple receiver functionality. Now to see how the RTL-SDR V4 dongle works with it, despite the limited bandwidth of that device. Off to play :)

This is a great piece of software. I've been using it on and off for the past 3 or 4 years and have been through several iterations of it. I have to say it works phenomenally well with the RSP1-A. Not so much with the RTL-SDR dongle (I got mine from Amazon for 25 quid, not sure if it's pukka or a rip off). The neural NR is outstanding on SSB. It is a bit resource hungry though so may not work well on lower spec machines but there is a 'low power' setting for just this scenario. I would recommend this program, it's easy to set up, very intuitive to use, and hears very well indeed. My other SDR software is SDR-Uno which is also very competent but may confuse new users. Great video, thanks.

Great content, thanks!...working well with my SDRPlay RSP2Duo. Looking forward to more from you. No lockups here. Is there a way to label frequencies in the spectrum display?

can you run different bands on different slices or are you stuck with the same band? Thanks de W9US
@paulnewcombe56316 сағат бұрын
The frequencies you can cover in the various slices depends on the overall Band Width of your chosen SDR and not SDR Console. Some SDRs have 192 kHz Band widths. Others have 31 MHz. You choose your SDR, and set up SDR Console, depending oh what your requirements are. In other words you customize your own set up.

Downloaded it and looks like a good software but in my case I can’t get anything tuned in everything is staticky even on FM. The software that works best in my case is SDR++ and SDRAngel on these I am able to tune in many different stations perfectly clear but in this SDR console I can’t even get the strongest station in my area tuned in clearly seems a bit strange to me maybe I am just using it improperly.

I'm trying this using the hackrf one and for some reason immediately after I attach my radio, the entire program freezes and refuses to do anything.

Looks nice but crashes constantly. Using RTL-SDR on Windows VM on MBP. Might be an issue because I'm running it on a VM but AirSpy SDR Sharp (SDR#) runs fine with the same setup.
@HamRadioDX4 сағат бұрын
I haven’t had it crash running native Windows running multiple instances. Perhaps you’re right it is a VM issue?

Good morning H2 Are you saying SDR Console is better software for your sdrplay than sdrPlay's SDRconnect software? Thanks golfmicgreg

Nice video but I uninstalled SDR console after 10 minutes. Layout is nice but most settings are difficult to find or are not logical placed. Also the dodgy download site and a million runtime installs are a pain. btw, please note your personal adverts appear on the bottom of the download site. I don't mind but may be you don't want your personal preferences show to all you viewers. I like your channel though so keep up the good work!

The website is very weird. No Linux versions a deal breaker. I could try to run it in Wine, but. EDIT: ok Intalled on wine and opens up perfectly, but wont detect my "ID 0bda:2838 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL2838 DVB-T"

Did you follow the instructions on how to download the drivers for the RTL? The information is on the SDR Console website. If you do not follow the instructions on the driver then it will not work.

I'm exclusively linux here too, I am pretty happy with SDR++ when I need to do things locally. You can create as many slices as you like, and do the equivalent of VB Audio Cable by chucking some null sinks in ~/.config/pipewire/pipewire-pulse.conf.d/
