For all new players - GBVS:R is also free to play/ free to start and has crossplay (no cross platform progression) The GBVS:R videos I’ve seen haven’t really mentioned this immediately in the beginning and I think that’s super important to highlight for new players! Give it a try if you’re even remotely interested. This game was a hidden gem in 2020 and we’re lucky it’s been given a second chance.

One important thing not mentioned with the ultimate skills is you only get that meter refund if the move is done raw. If you cancel a normal or autocombo string into an ultimate skill you will not get any meter refunded and it will always cost the full 50%.

17:14 Just wanted to add that rolls don't specifically lose to lows, rather they are upper body invulnerable. So mids that hit close to the ground such as Katalina 2M or projectiles that travel across the ground such has Percival 236X actually beat rolls.

Hi Roofle, I just recently discovered your videos while I was watching Granblue videos. This guide is super helpful for me, both for pointing out the differences between this and the OG GBVS and for explaining the mechanics and even giving a more in depth explanation of building your own combos! (Which is something I struggle immensely with as I'm not much of a frame data sort, but you got me intrigued now!) I've always been a little reluctant to play fighting games more frequently as I enjoy them, but could never wrap my head around them too well. I'm a long time GBF fan though and this guide is gonna make my dive back into GBVS a lot easier, so thank you!

I'm starting the video right now so I don't know if it's mentioned, but I just wanna say that the character interactions at the beginning of every match are unique and specific to what side you're on! Many of the mirror matches have characters surprised and/or aggressive as one might when seeing their own face across from them, but literally everyone knowing everyone and having SOMETHING to say is impressive. I think that deserves more attention and love.

These are so well done and very helpful to understand a game's mechanics fast. I'm already better in the game and I haven't even picked it up yet till watching. ^^ This is the kind of thing I would "buy" off a content creator, if they don't want to do themself, and bake into the game. For me that works better than the written information in the training mode. Just divide them into basic, offense, defense, super ect. and if you don't want to watch it you can skip that segment. Street Fighter 6 has something like that, I'd still turn to this channel, they are all aware of...

One correction is that doing motion inputs only gives the extra damage if done raw. So any special that's done in a combo will have the same damage as you would if you did the easy input
@CC42_ Жыл бұрын
That's such bad game design, unless devs now are just trying to do away with motion inputs. In that case it's just sad.
@eduardoserpa1682 Жыл бұрын
I love how they addressed one of the earliest criticisms over the original GBVS, which was the uninteresting super meter. They had already tried it in the last season with Overdrive, Rush and Backshift, but now it's much, much better in the ways you build it and use it. It's no GG and no SF6, but that aspect is way more interesting than it used to be.

Nearly 3 straight hours of doing 10 rounds where I win 2-3 of the rounds. I eventually went positive when I switched off Gran but it was super discouraging until I played Arcade mode and Was winning against Very Hard CPU.
