The beginning of the end || Astarion dialogue before tadpole dream (full, all options)

In order to get this dialogue you need to:
- use illithid powers several times (2-4? i'm not sure)
- get rid of Lae'zel. Unfortunately, her scene triggers first and it leaves other companions with shorter versions of their dialogues. You don't have to kill her, you can just don't recruit her at all. She can't be in your party or camp at this point, otherwise you'll just get her scene with a dagger and short vertions of other companion dialogues.
- that's it. afaik Astarion approval doesn't matter here, but just in case: it was Hight in my case

I feel really sorry for him. Well, for all of them, of course. But he basically just escaped from a slavery (an extremely cruel one), felt the sun that he hasn't seen for almost 200 years. For all of it to be taken away... Plus, if redddit and tumblr specialists are correct, his scars are actually some kind of a seal that prevents anyone from taking his soul or whatever vampires have. So he doesn't even have freedom in this, too. I really hope we can kill Cazador later. Although, I have a feeling that even if we do it, there will be no happy-happy ending for Astarion.

He'll probably drink Cazador's blood, become a true vamp and then either turn on us or leave the party. Maybe if his approval is high enough he'll stay, who knows.

@@S0URCH33KS He said that killing Cazador will be enough for him, even though it will leave him just a vampire spawn. I guess it will be a "kind" option to resolve his personal quest. And letting Astarion to drink his master's blood and turn into a true vamp will be an "evil" one.

@@nonoialbinoi I worry that he'll make a hasty decision just to save his life. I agree with @Zamairiac that depending on our relationship he may choose to listen to MC or he'll do what he deems necessary to survive. I think that challenging his habits and behaviour will make him... different. But if MC supports his more evilish side then he'll go down the sad road.

​@@Lilida97 Interesting, how MC decisions will affect his behaviour based on approval/disapproval mechanics. Cause it makes sense that high approval will make him more agreeable (basically, a best friend or a beloved one), but it also means that his initial personality is supported. But I don't see a way to "happy" ending with him hating MC for being too nice - he'll probably just see them as weak. However, he reacts positively to attempts to help him (after dreams, watching his back and etc.) Maybe, that's the key. Showing him that you don't have to be cruel, selfish or lonely to benefit from life.

Ah man the tragic thing about this scene is that he went under Cazadors control while he was about to die after that assault he went through and didn't want to and 200 years of the worst oppression later he'd jump right into the next soul-deal just to barely survive. He's so scared of dying/ becoming even worse than a vampire spawn even after everything he's been through that you just want to keep him safe. uwu

I never played EA. It sucks how many cool tidbits and interactions were cut for the final version. Some may have been to refine characters (I’ve heard they shaved off the meanness of Shadowheart and Lae’zel especially from EA), but still, would’ve been cool to see stuff like this in the final version. At least it’s uploaded on youtube.

Why does lae'zel's scene shorten the others' scenes? makes no sense

I find all the companions tend to override Astarion's unique dialogue too. On my current playthrough I just recruited him and Lae'zel. I've found so many unique lines he says during situations the others tended to dominate in my first playthrough. It kind of fits, he is pretty submissive and would let the dominate personalities in the group take over.

Что бы получить эту сцену нужно что бы Лизы не было в отряде, или вообще ее не должны принимать ее в пати? В отряде ее не было, я юзаю личинку, иду в лагерь у меня сцена с Лазаэль, потом восклицательный знак над Шедой а Астарион говорит что "не со мной хочет говорить" и не в какую...

Astarion has amazing dialogue, shame he is a rogue. I just didn't like playing rogue as I rather like to face enemies head on or talk my way out of battles

@@Rouzhianna yes, but when I do I like it to make sense, like if you switch lae'zel to a barbarian or paladin, there isn't much difference, but for astarion it just feels kinda off for him to have a different class

@@ki1lm347 наверное зависит от того что считать терпимым. для меня внезапно прорезавшаяся у шедоухарт ЖеНсКаЯ логика и то что все спайн и гатс перевели как яйца (особенно отлично смотрится, когда это говорят две женщины, нпс и моя коза) стали последней каплей. О перлах вроде "перших корешей" и "ах ты грязная жопа" я узнавала уже из чужих прохождений и не жалела о том, что переключилась на язык оригинала.
