I just got to a certain scene in the late game when Tav is supposed to make a big rallying speech and it's so awkward having them just mouth out nothing and silently have a cheering animation lol

I'm surprised they recorded tav's voice for this event but didn't think about a bit more dialogues for important events like the final speech before start the zone of the last boss or other pretty important events.

Tav used to be voiced but they removed it to make them a mostly silent protagonist. There’s still some left over voiced lines that made it through whatever they did to filter. There’s one of Drow Tav talking about the underdark in Act 2, and Tav talking if they get the goblin party and then kill all the goblins who attend that I’ve seen.

Tav speaks when you approach the gith alone or when the companions are to far away. She/he gets 2 dialogues, one if you are under lvl 5 saying it's foolish to fight them and one if u are lvl 5 or higher, saying the opposite. Seems like gith also has a different one

First off, Vlaakith isn’t just some run of the mill ruler; she’s a lich queen with near-godlike power, and she controls the entire Githyanki military structure with an iron grip. Going up against her isn’t a matter of being brave or not, it’s strategic survival. Anyone who defies her openly would likely get obliterated or have their soul devoured in the blink of an eye. Voss isn’t playing along because he’s scared he’s playing the long game. He knows how dangerous it is to openly defy Vlaakith, so instead of charging in like a hotheaded fool, he’s gathering allies, assessing the situation, and slowly building resistance from within. It’s a strategic approach. If he were to just go full rebellion mode without proper planning, the entire movement to free the Githyanki from Vlaakith’s control would get wiped out before it even started. Also, let’s not forget that Voss’s ultimate goal is to align with Orpheus, which takes a level of foresight and patience that goes way beyond what some rando on KZbin thinks "courage" looks like. You don’t take down a tyrant by charging headfirst into a lich queen’s throne room unless you’re into suicidal plans.

I did this but using Shadowheart changing form spell, bc Laezel left my party, and if I goes near, they attack me,so I quickload before it, switch to Shadowheart and use that spell to transform her into a Gith, and I passed the checks in the dialogue, and they left Laezel so I could ask her to join again still on my first run before act 2

I agree, Karlach origin for some reason has additional voice lines and a fully voiced ending after the newest patch and it's instantly so much more immersing to hear her talk instead of standing there like a plank with awkward smiles. But is is what it is, still love the game so maybe with AI we'll get a voice mod one day.

@@natg4984 my human monk went there before hitting lv5 - Laezel went ahead the second she spotted them and when I arrived this snotty Voss was talking to Laezel. we communicated telepathically and I decided to let her do the talking. didn't exactly trust myself to keep it together without causing an 'altercation'. 🤨

I've always theorized that the game pushed you to play either Urge or Githyanki. This confirms it. Story is heavily tied to the race. Some of the best stuff you get grant benefits only to those who are Gith and I feel like your Tav character feels more involved with the story if they're either Gith or Urge.

Both are fantastic. Gith gives you so much as a race but then there’s a bunch of items that only work if you are (or are disguised as) a gith. That legendary sword alone is worth it. But half orc is easily my 2nd favorite for what they provide. Half orc paladin crit hunter is a fun build.

play any race that feel suits you, that's the point of role playing. But if you want to play for the sake of gameplay then choose race that benefit to your class. For example: half-orc benefits more in paladin class because that class hungry for critical hits and half-orc hit WAY harder than any other race. But it is up to you.

This scene always bothered me. I get that everyone isn't a hero, but retreating on the bridge is just as much death as charging into battle with the Gith. I'd take my chances pushing past the gith with my blade in my hand instead of burning and falling to my death, if the flames didn't kill me first. At the VERY least, the Gith would respect my choice to die fighting lmao

Soo cool acting, and the rest of the time the character is fucking silence, Larian says while the game was in early access that all the responses and the things that you tell will be voice acted, but like the Baldur Gate city or the Tutorial, a lot of things they scrapped with out telling anithing. I like the game and i buy it in early access but dame, with the fame that they won and the game is unfinished. Like with the evil endings, that they add then later when the game was suppoust to be completed. Larian always makes the same, a shit version and then a complete version, but like now they don´t gona do more D and D, we don´t have the cool version and 0 dlcs.

The Norse adored jewelry, and the more important and powerful you were the more you wore, regardless of gender, but we have almost no earrings or other piercings from Norse graves, and what few we do are in styles from different regions, indicating that they were brought in from somewhere else, either via trade or raiding. That said, tons of other warriors had piercings, and I disagree with the statement that it's stupid for a warriors to have them, though ideally you'd want them to be in places that can be covered by your helmet, and/or fit closely to the face so they're less likely to get caught on things, so I'd say the ones shown are reasonable
