That creature ressembles a primitive lifeform called Hallucigenia, which lived 500 millions of years, during Cambrian period on Burgess Shale, Canada. This is a very simbolic thing because Burgess Shale its known as the "Origin of Life", thanks for its vast biodiversity which brought all the actual lifeforms from all the entire planet. So...we can say Ymir "made contact" with the Very Beginning of Life, represented on Hallucigenia.

And the way they've been pacing it at 1 chapter per episode, its hard lol movie is most likely

@Botcee *SPOILER WARNING* there's still a little under 20 chapters left in the manga, each chapter has been 1 episode long this season, there's still the conflicts, Connie tryingto feed Falco to his mother, the shifters coming together, the battle to steal the ship to pursue eren, Levi return, Hanges. Shadis and the Marley general guys last stand, Annie's un freezing. The flashback episode where they're visiting life beyond the walls . Everyone gathered together planning. The chapters are long. If it continues to be 1 episode per chapter like it has been for the past episodes, then the film will start at chapter 130, before Hanges death and that would equal 9 chapters which has been 20 minute content for episodes. I think it's enough for a film of them reaching the final battle
