I'm a huge Forza fan. Forza was all I played between 2014-2018. But I need to be honest: franchise fatigue has set in and it's hard to be truly excited for the next game. Releasing 5 games in 9 years will do that to you.

I'm with you on that. Forza horizon 2 was my first forza. Then fh 3, fm7, fh4, fh5 , fm 2023. I've returned to every fh game but not fh5. There is nothing new to do in that for me. The new modes are beyond ridiculous that I might as well play Mario kart. Mexico was also not impressive IMO. Italy in fh2 still looks best.

@@ld9387 I also grew to dislike the increasing amounts of character customisation in fh games. 100s of shirts , pants , skirts , tops, glasses , hats and shoes. ( along with dozens of dance moves). I'm not buying a racing game to play dress up. I don't know to which audience they are catering to, with this. Do players really like this sort of stuff? ( every open world racing game is including this these days. Some even at the cost of base racing game content like unbound).

I'd suggest set the game in Germany (to celebrate the birthplace of cars) and have the whole Nurburgring inside the map. And then you can go to the paddock or something to access all other circuits through a menu. There's also a real life castle nearby for us to buy.

@@Kieran_OPC Cars are getting boring, and too expensive, too complicated and too similar one another. The electrification also doesn't translate well to racing videogames. Only hardcore enthusiasts still love cars. Most people just don't really care anymore. Cars have been perfected since... idk, the last GT-R maybe? They don't improve much anymore. Nothing exciting. I think Forza needs to pivot to other niche to freshen things up. Perhaps an openworld Monster Truck game. Just like Forza Horizon, but more offroad, more arcade-y, more excitement and mayhem.

Yeah I can’t see fh5 lasting for another year or 2… Forza should make eventlab 3.0,the render distance of trees and plants popping in & out needs to be fixed to make it feel more immersive,add in custom skyboxes ,let us add more objects ,be able to invite friends to help make maps and a traffic slider for some no hesi in creative, add new car customization, add in engine swaps sounds from the older games and a cinematic video editor.

November 2025 is likely when FH6 will come out as there is still content being added in FH5. The developers hopefully have something to replace the festival playlist as it’s been around since FH4. A better story and progression would be great as well. There hasn’t been any new DLC car packs since the JDM Jewels Pack. If that is the last DLC car pack for FH5, it is particularly interesting that it is a JDM car pack. The FH6 in Japan rumor is surely going to be interesting.

I'll be excited for FH6, but I really hope it'll be handled better than Motorsport, that game was so bad and definitely not built from the ground up. Even if it's mostly the same as Horizon's before it won't be bad, sometimes I find too much innovation can be bad, like in COD for example when jet packs came about, keeping it simple works and it's what I enjoy most. Either way I'm excited to see where it's set and what they have in store for us!

While I'm starting to understand some of the complaints that long-time fans of the franchise have, FH5 was my first ever Forza game (coming from NFS). I picked it up less than a year ago and have been astonished by the amount of content I got for my money. Because of this, I genuinely love FH5, and it's one of my favorite games ever. I picked up FH4 a little while ago, and I really enjoy that too, especially because parts of the map remind me of here in New England. I've even grabbed PC emulations of FH1 (just started) and FH2. All this is to say, I really love the Forza Horizon franchise now. I do wish the drivatar difficulties were more consistent (but at least they're not boringly easily like NFS AI racers). However, I'm really excited to be around for the launch of the next installment.

The cars the backstage passes are taking over were already recycled. It's only the 20 point cars that are exclusive to that pack. 40-160 point cars were recycled from previous exclusive cars. We're still getting new cars weekly. I do agree that this is the beginning of Playground winding down their work on the game slightly. I imagine we'll see the updates get smaller over the coming months and we'll probably see Horizon 6 announced for 2025 or 2026.

It’s obvious FH6 will look worse than FH5/4 if it will be built on UE5. It will also stutter like hell and only have a 30fps mode for consoles, because it will require a beefy CPU, which even the PS5 Pro does not have. I will be there to say „I told you” when it releases 😃

I can't see them using the Motorsport engine. My RTX 3070 can only run that on medium settings as it only has 8gb of memory, yet with Horizon 5 it runs super fast on ultra settings. Whatever engine they use, they really need to lift their game for Horizon 6. I've recently started playing Crew Motorfest (given up on Solar Crown). That has a fantastic map and in many areas is much better than Horizon 5 e.g. stories & things to do.

I would have prefered if they messed up the next Horizon instead of Motorsport. Horizon is the bigger series by now with more frequent releases, the backlash would have stung them more and therefore there'd be more incentive to fix it. FM8 is hot garbage, but 7 is absolutely unplayable on AMD PCs (and even if it worked it's a mixed bag), so there's not even anything to fall back to.
