This is most helpful and well done! I set mine up a little differently regarding the EQ's. I run pink noise through the mixer from my phone, and then measure the output (in the venue) with a calibrated mic attached to an ipad. I then I set a pleasant main curve using only cutting frequencies, not boosting. Then I tweak individual channels to suit the voice or instrument. I've had good results and the added equipment cost is negligible. Just my two cents. Cheers!

I´ve just bought this mixer it has so much volume almost enought for my performance, i´m using it with a Kemper and a computer to play on backing tracks...bad things are: no splitting channels (left and right) and no more exits except for mains, pro: not heavy, very easy transportability and friendly to use. Finally is only a multichannel amplifier with effects 🤪

In your aux send/return, you can assign a channel for processing, in which is used throughout the board.

Most of what you described is incorrect ! The -25 dB Pad button is used when connecting a device that has a high output like some keyboards so they don’t clip even when level is down. What you keep referring to as xlr is actually rca.

Hi!! Thank you so much for the amazing videos! I have the same pmp2000D and it lowers its sound when I sing high, I mean, when the mic input receives a high volume signal. It happens rather I use the Pad button on or off. The music volume lowers a lot, and if i stop singing, it raises again. And does it with different microphones I tried. Do you have any suggestion for resolving this? The Master volume is usually within 3 or 5 and it's a brand new equipment. Thank you so much again!!!
@JasonsAcousticWorkshop
@JasonsAcousticWorkshop 4 жыл бұрын
That usually happens when I'm singing and the level peaked to red. It basically protects the tracks. I usually have the main volume on 0, and the vocals on the 1st track at about 3 to 3.5.

@@JasonsAcousticWorkshopWhen you say main volume, which one are you referring to? Because if it is the Main (the master) there won't be any sound at all. I am sorry if didn't get the idea. Thank you once again for taking this time to answer!

Hi I would love your opinion about the Behringer PK 115 Passive speakers I use QSC and they’re great speakers but they’re so heavy I was looking into a lighter speaker I’m just wondering if the sound qualities will be OK and if they can cut it for outdoor shows I use the Behringer 2000 PA system and love it. I’ve been playing a lot of breweries lately and they want it pretty loud i’d love to hear what you have to say thanks buddy👍🎼🎶☘️

That particular mixer doesn't have Pre-amp output (or Auxiliary out), it only has an auxiliary in. The only thing the auxiliary in would be good for would be to just to connect an 1/8'" wire to play music through. This is something that Behringer need to put on their mixers in the future. They should take off that Behringer wireless mic input and put an Auxiliary out right there. Plus put a line in and line out (the red and white wires) to play sound through. Sorry, but the only way you would be able to record would be to place mics around your speakers.
@JasonsAcousticWorkshop

The earlier Behringer mixers like the Europower PMP 2000 have preamp outputs for powered monitors or recording but, for some reason got rid of them, I think that was a big mistake on their part. Every Musician that I talk to have never used a Behringer mic, so, as far as I'm concerned, that in mic input is completely useless, so is the Auxiliary in. Bring back the preamp outputs and line ins

LOW BUDGET! I have a Yamaha EMX88 and it is so stubbed out for everything it's 22 years old That's why this rig is only 350 bucks and I can tell you something else about baranger All of their solid state stuff on the inside it's all glued together if you ever need to get this thing fixed it's a nightmare and the products I have gotten before they break and and not just once in a while I picked up some powered monitors one time from a church a buddy of mine went there and he had fixed them twice already so you know he gave them to me And he also knew how to fix that It's just like I said I have a Yamaha EMX88 powered mixer I've had it for 22 years everything still works great It came with the SE Yamaha 15 with the horns in the top They are still great still pounding nails. 10 of those years I played in 2 bands both of them practiced once a week for at least 6 to 8 hours and gigged at least once a week And these bands were rockin out !! You know we were playing all types of music The Who, Pat Benatar Blondie, Is bad company The goo goo dolls Alanis Morissette No Doubt Johnny Cash Chuck Berry 2 guitars a base a drum kit mic up, and 2 different singers Like guitars one of them was through a really nice Marshall lamp, I don't know the specs , it was my buddies but he didn't have any problems at all I Have A PV Sheffield twin classic I don't know the rig my bass player We cranked and I mean loud not that obnoxiously loud, but it was no problem for us to play anywhere Within reason of course Then even when I wasn't playing out I had gotten into divorce and it was just difficult to keep a band going, But I still wanted to make some scratch I went into the D.J Business with that Yamaha EMX88 Hey I did it for 7 years You know and crankin it Never a blip ! now watch I go out of the bathroom in a croak haha. Here's the rub I will also tell you Like I said you know you get divorced there's a lack going on you clear bills different stuff I was a maintenance supervisor at a jail But my brother owned a repossession company that was 3 States Ohio Michigan and Pennsylvania You know I had 50/50 custody of my kid but my brother said Hey when you don't have your son work for me I would you know advertise Mostly in the Cleveland area because that's where I live but also in all if I was working Detroit or Columbus Cincinnati whatever I would advertise In that city You know I would put my rig in the back of my CRVI was a spider I would drive-in all kinds of neighborhoods turning around all the time Bumps and such But I would drive around with all of my gear you know I get up at like 6:00 in the morning and run 30 addresses that would run up to my gig!!!! I might repossess anywhere from 3 to 5 cars . I will get to the gig I always give myself playing time. You know I would set up I go in the bathroom change my clothes freshen up Spin tunes on that bad boy all night long you know I have 40 50 60 people dancing at a hall Tear it all down put it all back in my ride, you know I'd go home if I was working in the area Or go to the hotel I was standing at you know how to always get a spot close to the office stay at the same place as all the time they take care of you Then I get up in the morning and do it all over again I wouldn't get much sleep for that weekend but man between you know doing DJ and picking up cars I was making good scratch But you know I look at this bananger And I'm thinking wow it looks pretty nice on the front you know it's got some cool features But why would you make it a rig like this this and be so short of jacks on the back Yeah if you're playing an acoustic gig or you've got some string instruments . It's fine I'm talking about 2000 watts!!! And you got a Daisy chain stuff that's bush league And it had quarter inch in auxiliary jacks , you know where you can go stereo plugo stereo plug it into your laptop For being made before the year 2000 this thing was amazing and still is I know this isn't an info commercial for Yamaha I'm just saying it was set up in a band room and hammer and nails with it all the time you know Yamaha is the best of the best of the best I bought my son a 100 W keyboard amp that's Yamaha and it also had a microphone Jack on it You know he screams that thing all the time up in this room we're into our music No I'm not saying this things complete junk But why would you make something like this that doesn't have at least 4 outputs on it on the back I've got 4. 1/4 inch jacks on the back of my Yamaha and I've had other little power amps it's just nothing can compare to the Yamaha

...you should do research not to misinform your followers. Yes, 2000 watts, in Bridge mode...one side only, this is PEAK wattage, NOT RMS, which is running it without overheating it. 1,000 in stereo, again, Peak wattage. Multiply this by .707 to get the AV/RMS value. Still plenty of wattage to get across. Enjoy, and don't abuse your equipment, and as Jason said, regularly blow out and clean your unit for longevity reasons. Dave, tech at Cedar Street Electronics in Lansing, Mi.

@@subodhgodbole7266Impedance in parallel ( positive to positive, neg to neg ) your ohms go down meaning your amp works harder. You amp in spec will have it's minimal Impedance marked at spkr jack input, or look at spec. 3 eight ohm speakers in parallel brings you down to 2 ohms. Not to many amps are two ohm stable. You also have unaccounted Impedance in you line hookups and amp internal Impedance, so in actuality it will be under 2 ohms.

@@subodhgodbole7266 In accord to your amp spec, I suggest only two 8ohm speakers each side, and keep unity gain on your mixer. That or you need to add another power amp...if your using a passive system. Good luck, and always be aware of your amp(s) capability and spec. Only run three 8 ohm cabs if amp is 2 ohm stable. BUT you Must be careful with peaking at that level.
