The Belfast Glider bus network is a Bus Rapid Transit system in Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK. It consists of 2 routes, G1 (West to East Belfast) and G2 (city centre to Titanic Quarter) and uses a fleet of Van Hool ExquiCity 18 articulated buses.
The network resembles a tram network rather than a bus system, with ticket machines at stops, rather than buying on board. The driver sits in his own compartment and doesn't check or sell tickets and passengers can board through any door. The buses also feature spacious interiors with transverse seating, and are powered by quieter hybrid engines. The majority of the route uses bus lanes, which make them much faster in rush hour.
