Jāvēd Ahmed Ghāmidī (Urdu: جاوید احمد غامدی) (born April 7, 1952) is a Pakistani Muslim theologian, Quran scholar, Islamic modernist, exegete and educationist. He is also the founding President of Al-Mawrid Institute of Islamic Sciences.
Ghamidi's conclusions and understanding of Islam, including the Sharia, has been presented concisely in his book Mizan with the intention of presenting the religion in its pure shape, cleansed from tasawwuf, qalam, fiqh, all philosophies and any other contaminants.

Just a minor correction here: the sound created by any bell is part of a musical note. The teacher here doesn't seem to know this fundamental fact. He doesn't have to go back to Abu Harira or any other uninformed person from the past to try and prove his point. He should spend some time understanding the basics of sound, especially musical sounds. A sound can become part of a musical octave provided its next note in the octave can be established. Each musical note has a specific frequency. Musical notes in an octave are determined by their frequencies or vibrations per second. And their mutual relationships in an octave are determined by their mathematical numbers or fractions. The note coming out of a bell is determined by the number of times the bell vibrates in a second. Bells produce musical notes. Seven bells of various metal thicknesses can be arranged to produce the seven musical notes in an octave. Bells arranged in sequence can be used to produce musical compositions or songs. I bet Mr ghamidi has never heard of a musical octave. He should stop numbing the mind of his unfortunate pupil who seems to have absolutely no skills in critical thinking. He listens obediently and nods his head obediently. Mr ghamidi's explanations and his insistence on explaining everything through Hadith and tradition reflects upon the failure of the intellect that afflicts the Muslim mind.

We also talk In musical notes every frequency is a musical note and we also tall in rhythm what about that ,we walk in rhythm how can u explain that with your reason that you referred in comment. We also go octave up and down while talking what about that.Music is all rhythm and frequency .If there is any hadith that can prove it is haram then it is but you can't consider it haram by yourself .Islam is complete you can't add anything to it .Allah knows best whether it is haram or not but he gave us brain and we should make use of it .Allah gave us guidance and u can't make your own . If I'm wrong Allah may correct me but I don't see anything in Quran or in hadith which proves music is haram .I can be wrong but the reason you gave isn't wright also .so brother you know you are a human you can make mistakes correct them instead of being in ego that I can't be wrong . Allah is most forgiving may he forgive us.

Door Bells are used in every house now, would anyone call them haram... Every military band uses musical instruments, no molvi tells military men that you are using haram instruments, music is used by many religious organizations to promote their agenda or Taranay... So I think Ghamdi sahb is right, it's the use of instruments which make them acceptable or Haram.

Jb Prophet PBUH p wahi utarti thi to wo b waves ki form mai utarti thi aor Prophet PBUH ko kbi kbi Bell ki sound ki trah ki awaz ati thi during revelation. Below is a Hadith: "Sometimes it (Revelation/Wahi) comes to me like the ringing of a bell, and that is the hardest for me. When it leaves me I remember what it has said. And sometimes the angel appears to me in the shape of a man, he talks to me, and I understand what he says." ‘Ā'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "I saw him when the revelation was descending upon him on a very cold day. When it had left him, his forehead was dripping with sweat." (Sahih Bukhari)

Instead of dismissing hadith stories as meaningless nonsense, Ghamidi invents ever fanciful scenarios to make them look sensible. You would have us believe that bells and dogs’ barking disturbed the angels and the Prophet as they were frequently engaged in “allahu” tasbeeh. First of all, this is a wrong interpretation of the word Tasbeeh for the Qur’an tells us that thunder does tasbeeh, the sun and moon do tasbeeh and in fact everything in the heaven and the earth does tasbeeh - clearly they’re not uttering “Allahu” or some Arabic chants. What evidence do you have that Prophet and angels were disturbed by these sounds? Why not other noise? Even they were disturbed by such sounds why call them instruments of satan? This is typical religious nonsense!

فتنہ دجالون اور جاوید غامدی احادیث کو حجت مآخذ دین ماننے کے بارے میں دو گروہ ہیں ایک اہل سنت کا جو احادیث رسول کو بھی قرآن کے علاوہ بھی واجب الاتباع وحی مانتے ہیں دوسرا منکرین حدیث کا جو حدیث کو وحی نہیں مانتا بلکہ نبی کے قول کو ایک ذہین نبی انسان کے طور لیتے ہیں جو اس وقت یعنی زمانہ نبوت کے لیئے تھا اب اسکی حثیت تاریخی مواد کی ہے وحی صرف قرآن ہے اب اسی کو سمجھیں اسی سے اعتقادی و عملی راہ نمائی حاصل کریں حدیث کو ایک تاریخی مواد سمجھیں اور کوئی شریعی حکم نہیں لیں گے یہی اصل بنیادی فرق ہے جاوید غامدی جن احادیث کو اپنی کتاب میزان میں نقل کیا ہے وہ صرف یہ بتانے کے لیئے ہے کہ یہ احادیث قران کا بیان و تفسیر ہے جو وحی نہیں بلکہ ذہین انسان کا کلام ہے، جو آجکل کا پڑھا لکھا نوجوان بھی کر سکتا ہے حقیقت میں جاوید غامدی اور مشہور منکرین حدیث غلام احمد پرویز دجالون میں صرف لفظی فرق ہے اصل میں دونوں ایک ہی ہیں پرویز دلیر آدمی تھا کھل کر حجت حدیث کی انکاری کرتا تھا غامدی بزدل ہے چکمہ دیتا ہے مکر جاتا ہے کفر کے فتوے سے بچنے کے لیئے۔ ہر وہ حدیث جس میں نبی اکرم نے اپنے بعد کے حالات و واقعات اور فتن کو بیان کیا ہے اس کو پر زور انکار کرتا ہے۔کیونکہ ان احادیث کا کھلا تعلق وحی خفی سے ہے۔ لہذا دونوں دجالون و کذابون میں سے ہیں کیونکہ، سورہ کہف میں انہی کے دجالون کے لیے ہے۔ مالھم بہ من علم ولا لآبائھم کبرت کلمۃ تخرج من افوائھم ان یقولون الا کذبا،، ان سے بچو گمراہ کر دیں گے، الھم انی اعوذبک من فتنۃ الدجال میں نے خود جاوید غامدی کی کتاب 660 صفحات جوابی بیانیہ counter narrative کو غور سے پڑھا اور سمجھا ہے، اسکی نرم و دیھمی گفتگو سے گمراہ ہونے والوں کے اندر گمراہی کا مادہ پہلے موجود ہوتا ہے،
