This is upright best novel; So sad she made it after she died, all posthumously famous author had to suffer so much in order to give out something like this to the world.

hahahaha let's not be foolish. No one ruined the book. As other comments have made clear the op was referring to Sylvia Plath... The author of this novel...

Maggie Gyllenhal reading this is perfect. I also think Ms. Taylor Swift refers to this book and Sylvia Plath at times especially on TTPD. This book kinda effs with your head. I’m off to find a comedy now.

Why is no one talking about the weird skip around 30 seconds in? I’m confused? Why does it do that, and how much is missing?
@lilybeane241610 ай бұрын
There is not much missing it's only a small paragraph giving some minor context to the times when the story is about the Rosenbergs case and what time of year it is. when it starts reading it's the next paragraph hope that makes sense and helps

It was a queer, sultry summer, the summer they electrocuted the Rosenbergs, and I didn't know what I was doing I New York. I'm stupid about executions. The idea of being electrocuted makes me sick, and that's all there was to read about in the papers. Goggle-eyed headlines staring up at me on every street corner and at the fusty, peanut smelling mouth of every Subway. It has nothing to do with me, but I couldn't help wondering what it would be like, being burned alive all along your nerves. I thought it must be the worst thing in the world. New York was bad enough

Lol not really. She literally was like “buddy fucked someone so i should fuck someone else to get back at him”. Not clear vcard thinking. And typical passive aggressive self harm toxic femininity thinking.

I have you’re doing okay. The feelings of meaninglessness I see in this book are certainly relatable, and depression hits most of us, although longer and harder for some. Whatever you’re going through, I assure you that that is not the solution. There is always the possibility of a day you will feel better, followed by another day, and another.
