The Bells of Patrixbourne, Kent

Lovely and what history. Did you get to see the bells? Have you been to Dedham in Essex, a very unsettling ringable 8 but can be chimed. Would be interesting to chime them to some methods. Always find it sad when once rung they are left to decay.

I know, the church was spectacular. It was a thoroughly enjoyable visit. And yes I’ve heard of those. Not been there though but I would like to do so at some point. I believe the tower there is unsafe - cracked if I remember correctly.

@Ringer Jake They still have ropes attached to the clappers so I think chiming them to stedman triples would be rather novel.

They’re very nice. They haven’t been rung full circle since the 19th century I think… the fittings are believed to be 17th century!
