This kind of knowledge and talent is never gonna be replaced by AI, wow!
@why.do.I.even.try.

Actually I'm pretty sure this is a place where ai comes and fits in seamlessly, if integrated for artists. These procedural functions mean you don't have to design every tiny rock again and again, so ai could help elevate them. Ai truly can't replace the best of the best

This is the most incredible piece of 3d base concept art I have ever seen! quite often the shapes are just used as a basis for a later painting (which is also cool) but more and more I see people just rearranging the models of others and calling it a day. the time skill and sheer artistic vision and creativity you put into making all these assets and bringing them together in the most breathtaking and eye opening way... the 3d render on its own was pure artistry. but the skill you showed by then doing the paintover, so that the level of detail, texture and painterly vibe of the piece came through, I can't commend you enough. Incredible, incredible work! P.S: what method are you using to attach your window elements to the faces of your buildings? it looks so efficient and id love to give it a go in my own projects but cant find the method anywhere! great work again!

Cool tutorial, I'm curious what exactly you're doing to place the railings and pillars at 2:14? It's an add on I guess, but I can't see how you're adding it to the geometry- is that a lattice of some sort?
@charlottekugler

Hi, it's part of the geometry node setup that is mentioned. You can assign modules via materials or - in case of the fence - by edge crease, which is super cool. Check out the creator if you want to know more!

Really nice. I'd forgotten about Julians nodes. Will definitely have to give this a crack at some point. Do you find them useful for other types of things? As a side note, I suppose you could also add some weathering alpha cards under the windows as part of the modular piece - or just use weathering decals in general on the asset side. But maybe that's neither here nor there :) Very nice work!
