This is a beautiful evocation of a very special place: for many men, it was their introduction to Fire Island. I first went there when I was about 20, maybe in 1967; I found the place curious, strange, and wonderful, like being in a gay dream. It should really be preserved as a landmark, as a piece of history, and also, simply as a gorgeous creation. Perry Brass, author of The Manly Art of Seduction, and other books.

Staying at the belvedere hotel was one if the vest experience I Ve ever had. .extremely Arty ,quiet and Tres chic..

I had the pleasure to stay in the belvedere. It is in deep, a magical place to be. Somehow, you become a different man. Better, freer, sexier, sophisticated, passionate, connected, and inspiring.

I Ve stayed at the Belvedere for many years.The Architecture is marvelous,the painting and the flaire of avant Garde..vintage and Antique..few things i have to mention ,the beds are not confortable..bed shits from salvation Army..sometimes stinks.. No IC..just a dirty filthy fan overbooked with dusts..I think for the prices they charge ,sometimes on big days till 700dollars a night . They could have tacked care of the Hygiene and the confort of the very very fancy elegant customers..including me.. I had ones to spay a half bottle of Parfum..to change the stinky oder to a Tom Ford scent of elegance
