Benedikt is an Icelandic strongman and powerlifter. He holds the raw deadlift world record with a lift of 460.4 kg/1,015 lbs in 2011. He also set the world record for the heaviest strongman deadlift of 461 kg/1,016 lbs in 2014, which stood until Eddie Hall lifted 462 kg/1,019lbs the next year.

@@vanguard4065 some people bennefit more from a suit than others. And Eddie got to choose everything on that day from woeght jumps to resting times. The others were told to adapt to what HE wanted. When he goes arround saying he did it in a comeptition and that it's more faire than what haftor did he know he's talking a bunch of crap. Benni still holds the all time raw wr after a fucking decade. And he used to do 400kg x 5 in training 10 years ago, it used to be the world record for reps at 400 till like 2 weeks ago. He's the best deadlifter in history hands down

Benni asked for 480kg but the meetkeepers didn't plan ahead well enough and could only fit 460kg or 1015LIBS for you muricans which went up really easy. Easy WR raw. still stands to this day.

the benni that attempted the 500 in 2016 was by far not the same that lifted the 460 RAW also when u compare hafthors raw DL with bennis there is a 50kg difference, that shows that benni is to this day the best raw deadlifter of all time
