Hi, the issue you mention about lag via USB is actually incorrect, this is to do with the FPS of the camera, if you slow the FPS slower than the screen speed ie your monitor which is be running at around 50Hz (50 FPS in conversion terms) you will see delay or lag. To confirm this further if you have a Smart Mobile Phone with Camera, with an APP to set manual settings on your Smart Mobile Phone Camera ie Aperture, ISO, Exposure, this will show my evidence. You may want to delv into the settings of your camera options in the Software to see if you can increase the FPS to at least 1/2 your screen speed try half and wholes ie 25 FPS /50 or 29.96 FPS /60 Hz. I hope this helps... Good info though on the Microscope itself....
