I siezed an ET2 due to oil pump failure. Replaced w 70cc malossi kit. I have been mixing fuel w Sithl HP Ultra synthetic oil @ 50:1 for 4 years/8K miles. No issues. It smokes until its warmed up but runs great. You can buy the 12.8 oz bottles at most hardware stores. Mix it w 5 gal of gas and have fun. Mix it with less gas if you are cautious. Im not. WOT.

Before special 2T oils, classic sae30 oil was used for mix. 2T oil appeared very late, probably in the 70s. sae30 works okay for mix, but it does not dilute very easily, you have to shake it a lot and it does not burn very well.

Now I need to find a legitimate answer on the transmission oil I see several different kinds and viscosity I generally run Maxima and everything including my current four wheelers. On a side note I lost my job of 10 years because I'm battling cancer and they didn't want to mess with me even though I never missed a day in 10 years if I was local I'd be happy to mop the floors just to be around scooters and learn

Just got a honda X8R and it is in excellent condition, but i can not trust a 20+ yo part thats so sensual. Is it easy to change it with a new pump? Are there any kind of adjustments and if are they diffy? If its so hard maybe ill better delete it. Any ideas?

For top end rpm's , premix youre fuel and fill the oil injector tank with nitro rc fuel.

i would say its not a bad thing to think about now as its old. or just have one when it does go but if it does it may ruin the motor

What if you have a functioning pump but wanna add premix to the gas for a little extra protection and incase of pump failure? And also bc its been sitting for a while...Like can I add 1/2gallon of 50:1 to my 1.5 gallon tank? So I guess it'd be like 150:1 or even 100:1? Would that hurt my bike? It's a 2002 yamaha zuma with less than 700 original miles I bought off this 80yr old man who only used it to go to the mailbox and back lol.. but since he can't walk anymore it has sat for over a year... any advice would be greatly appreciated.. also want to buy an exhaust setup and see people pulling the restrictiors out.. is that OK too? Never realised how cool these things can be I already ordered a stretch kit and am getting a bunch of stuff from you guys.. I want it to be fast and reliable so any suggestions on mods would be nice too... ive ridden all my life but never a scooter 😅

I have a few 87 and a 97 Yamaha razz any carb replacement ideas and tuning so far top speed of 30 i know it's limited on upgrades aside from whole engine swap I've upgraded tires and added shock extender for more wheel clearance also updated coil n replaced SPK plug

Just cut the feeder hose 1 in. from carb and plug it w screw or nail.

First of all, long live 2 strokes and FUCK THE EPA!!!!! Second, IF you use premix, DO NOT mix in the fuel tank. Mix the oil and gas in a bottle/jug of a known size, shake it up, and THEN pour it into the fuel tank.
