Fantastic video. Great to see how a pro approaches a situation that is unknown and prepares for whatever may come. These videos are so useful as "experiential" education through just seeing more than one ever could as a single worker. Watching many of your videos has changed how I approach moving heavy loads and situations with stored energy. Thinking through the ramifications if something were to go wrong - even though I don't work with trees. Thank you for taking the time to help us all think and learn.

Did a removal of 16" live oak leaner directly over a house, too high to cut from the roof, too low to hitch logs from it. I knew Id be able to finish both parts of the job in the day, assuming we'd be able to proceed with the job as originally planned and discussed with the homeowner. If that plan needed to radically change due safety concerns from something that was disguised or hidden from view from the ground, Id have stopped and discussed it with the homeowner first, renegotiating the cost if need be. It was an oddball tree, and they knew it wasn't a straight forward take down.

Very interesting. Thank you! Only one minor suggestion. In the beginning, when you were driving into the job, there was a rattle that was just a little loud. It could have been something against the front glass or the camera. Also, I'm curious. Did you cut down the other small tree that you were originally tied to in a criss cross? It looked like it had been topped. I like the discussion of the job on the way driving it. It made it much easier to understand your plans for the job.
