Good choice you won't regret it. I got mine last March and it really is everything they say it is. I shoot trap with it every weekend until the geese and duck season opens. It's a beauty. One of my hunting pals bought the Maxus and after shooting my A400 went and traded the Maxus in for the A400.

@falchunt There is a way to fool with the system, but it's not recommended. If you don't know the history of the gun, you should replace the recoil spring, clean the gun thoroughly and tighten the lock nut on top of the exhaust valve. If you're not strongly familiar with the gun, I recommend taking it to a gunsmith.

When I was young I bought the Beretta A302. Her ad at the time was "4 rifles in less than 1 second". I hunted with her for many years in the wild mountains. He never betrayed me. Her haste in my hunt was useless. Its great asset is that it never gets stuck. Keep it in excellent condition without traces of rust and the stock keeps its varnish (not linseed oil) in excellent condition. I wish I had money I could buy the Α400 but let it be as long as they keep my feet in the mountains I will have my A302.

@aronoxideultra the gas they are releasing is the gas to operate the cycling function, which apparently with this gun is so much more efficient that it doesnt need all the gasses to do it. Infact, allowing more gas outta the barrel would increase firepower (theory) but maybe not in the real world

10,000 rounds between cleanings. LOL the follower gets gunked up in less probably in 200 rounds. Cleaned my gun had cycle issues never would of thought I needed to get that follower out and clean it. Solved the problem.

This logic of a fast second-shot is why full-auto machine guns were created and are still used extensively in global military operations. A fast firing semi-auto allows you to place numerous rounds down range in 3 seconds without the need of registering and paying taxes on a NFA regulated full-auto gun.

Accuracy is made by the shooter not from the weapon. Almost all the guns are accurate enough to hit every target the shooter sees. The things that affects shooter's accuracy is the muzzle velocity of the bullet(s) and the recoil of the weapon (and other minor factors that could be amplified and become relevant in long range) You don't need to be an expert to see that this shotgun is very balanced also at high rates of fire. Sure this guy know how to use this piece of art...

If your shooting point blank or short range those factors are insignificant... But i don't think shotguns are made for accuracy above long ranges.

SX3 fired 12 rounds in 1.442 seconds. The Beretta A400 fired 5 in 1/4 second. So thats twenty rounds a second. SX3 has a ROF of 498. By 12/1.442 = 8.3 .. 8.3 * 60 = 498 A400 has a ROF of 1200. By 5/.25 = 20 .. 20 * 60 = 1200 Now then, I suck at math I will go ahead and admit that, so I could be totally wrong. However, it appears to me by the math the A400 is more then twice as fast.

I don't know about shotguns, but most guns are way overgassed for those types of conditions. For example, on an AR-15, you can turn the gas WAY down and have the softest shooting gun ever that still cycles, but you don't want to do that because with really cold ammo and a filthy gun, you'd be prone to shortstroke.

Io possiedo A400 in calibro 20 acquistato un anno fa' e ho riscontrato purtroppo mal funzionamenti dell'estrazione della cartuccia in canna nella fase dello scaricamento dell'arma,a volte mi ha cileccato,a volte non mi ha ricaricato la seconda cartuccia..forse ho beccato un'arma difettosa per altro non assistito dall'armeria dell'acquisto,denotando una scarsa professionalità del venditore!Spero per la Beretta che sia solo un caso sporadico il mio,sia per l'arma in mio possesso ,sia per le assistenze dei suoi punti vendita forse da rivedere e riqualificare!

Mi beretta a400 action desde nuevo está dando problemas. Luego del primer dispara El Segundo y/o el tercer cartucho se queda pinchado en la salida del tubo de recarga. Ya se ha enviado por Garantia a la compañía y sigue con el mismo problema. Hoy por cierto luego de ir a buscar mi escopeta, tuve que dejarla y perdí el viaje. Jijiji.

..... ok if i was to say accuracy comes from one thing that would be impossible because you need an accurate system to shoot long ranges and a operator that knows what he is doing. without one or the other the system is useless. and i would also like to point out that wind can still throw shots off at 200m by an inch or two, idk if you consider 200m long range or not.
