Hello everybody! Of course a400! This is the best semi-automatic machine in the world for many years! Despite the great quality of Benelli! I recommend paying your attention to all the derived models from the A 400! For example, On 1301 comp! Cheaper than ordinary A400! And it has a number of advantages like a high bar, enlarged controls (for working with gloves), two front sights (for bullet shooting). And much more! I have owned the card for 10 years! Completely satisfied! Beretta gives a guarantee for this gun- 10,000 shots without cleaning! This indicates the high quality and strength of the structure! In my opinion, this is the best shotgun! Good luck to everyone!

I have the a300 Ultima, Out of the box, it stove piped like every other round. I got it home and took it apart, and found the innards were stuffed with packing grease. It's a miracle it cycled at all. I stripped all the grease, lightly applied some gun oil, and it's been perfect ever since. Other people have similar stories. So, clean it out of the box and you won't have any problems, it's a great gun.

Not only is it a good idea to clean every gun before use for function purposes, it can also be a matter of safety when it comes to higher pressures with rifles. I've heard horror stories of blow ups due to the excessive pressure created by a high velocity rifle round squeezing through a barrel *and* grease/oil

Love the review! I have an A300 ultima in bottomland and it’s been 1000% reliable. I cleaned it when I first got it and haven’t cleaned it since in 2 duck seasons and 2 dove seasons. Ran a patch down the barrel every so often but that’s been it, haven’t taken the gun down at all. My friends shoot Brownings and they are always fiddling with their guns in the blind or dove field while my Beretta just keeps on chugging along.

Excellent informative video. I just got (Feb 2023) an A300 Ultima in 12 ga, haven't shot it yet but am very impressed. I wanted to get a Beretta semi-auto for its quality of manufacture and reliability. Already have a CZ SxS and an 870 Remington Wingmaster, both in 12 ga. For me, the top requirements are reliability, and how it fits me. I could easily afford the A400, but I could buy two new A300's for the price of one new A400. The added cost for the A400 just isn't worth it to me, as an occasional hunter and shooter. And I could get two Turkish semi-autos for one A300, but they are not worth the money, IMO. I am very happy with my A300: it fits me well, it's a Beretta, and it's made in USA. Thank you for your excellent video on the A300 vs. A400.

I've been using my Beretta Silver Hawk Featherlight SxS 12 gauge 26" IC/mod over 50 years for pheasant, quail, Hungarian partridge etc. Jump shooting ducks off farm ponds or over decoys too. Never really needed anything else for my style of hunting untill the steel shot requirements came along. I followed Remington's advice that said it was OK to use steel shot in their older pumps and semi autos (Wingmaster 870, 11-48, 1100) as long as choke was no tighter than modified and nothing larger than #2 shot, so I had several of those guns just for ducks and geese and anything I didn't have to walk for and could sit down to shoot, but finally got a 11-87 Premier with choke tubes just so I didn't have to worry that I might be damaging one of my old Remingtons. None of those were fancy in design or appearance in comparison to today's guns but I didn't have to mortgage my farm to buy any of them and never had any problems with any of them. Happy hunting boys and girls! 😊

I prefer a 26" barrel for upland only, but a 28" barrel is more versatile and can do waterfowl and late-season dove duty too.
@falba14922 жыл бұрын
Desert Dog, as you know, upland hunting is virtually nonexistent in S. Florida, but l like getting out to shoot trap. Occasionally, I do make it to a friend’s farm in S. Dakota, for pheasant. I’m looking for a semi-auto 20 bore, to compliment my Aguirre y Aranzabal 12 bore. I’m thinking a 26” barrel is enough, especially since I never hunt waterfowl. Mostly I get to shoot clays, but I don’t want something dedicated just for that. I intend to do more hunting, but my son flinches when he uses my AYA. What are your thoughts?
@desertdogoutdoors11132 жыл бұрын
A 26" barrel is perfectly suited for all upland hunting (actually preferred), but a 28" barrel is a great length for a gun that will be used for hunting and clays. The 20-bore is definitely a great gun for a child to start with (I'm in my 50s and still prefer a 20-bore). A semi-auto gas gun is the cheap and easy solution; but not all children are capable of correctly working the controls under stress (which might induce a safety issue). Most kids start with a pump shotgun, which is safer for a child and easier to manipulate; but they kick like an O/U with game loads. My suggestion for the son, is to get a youth-model 20-gauge pump shotgun and install a "Falcon Strike" recoil pad. I did this for a buddy's 11-year old and it works perfect.

@desertdogoutdoors1113 Жыл бұрын
It comes from the factory with just under 14.5" length of pull. Like most semi-autos, the A300 Ultima comes with a bag of shims to increase or decrease LOP. It also comes with a skeleton frame so you can remove the kick-off system and replace it with a regular recoil pad.
@billvallette5607 Жыл бұрын
I was able to get over 15” LOP with the extra shims that come with the gun. DD is right. My 20g 300 ultima is the most reliable autoloader ive ever had. @@geraldbridges88 I HAVE THEM ALL, THEY ARE EACH IN A CLASS OF ITS OWN, HOWEVER AS SEVERAL A400 OWNER, THE A400 IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT ANIMAL. I can also tell you this, If you want to know what semi automatic shotgun is the most smoothest by far, is our wonderful Remington 1100, The smoothest recoiling shotgun I have ever shot, But if you ask me which shot gun I will take to go to a competition and not lose any sleep over, it will be the mighty A400 sporting that I shoot.
