Entangled was written as a sort of collaboration between Steve Hackett and Tony Banks, and, as in Firth of Fifth, shows the sort of magic the two of them were capable of creating when they worked together. In FoF, Hackett contributed what is arguably one of the finest guitar solos ever performed to a song Banks had been working on for years. Then, in Entangled, Banks returned the favor with that beautiful, soaring yet melancholic solo that brings Hackett's song to such a powerful conclusion. Barbara Szelagiewicz and Darek Tarczewski performed a fine adaptation of the song here.

The outro solo in this song is my all time favourite Genesis piece and it gives me chills and tears in equal parts. This lady did it perfectly and I thank her for that. I think this would have been even better if there had been a choir accompanying the outro, making it sound more like the Genesis original. Tony Banks is a sadly under rated keyboard player and composer but seeing how many classical musicians are covering Genesis music, I think Banks will be acknowledged by future generations of musicians for the amazing music he wrote. It saddened me when he sold his soul to make that crap from Duke onward. I would put Banks above Keith Emerson in pure feeling and compositional brilliance. Maybe he's not as technical as Emerson but no amount of technique ever made me cry like this does.
