I even see more and more German students playing on Boehm system clarinets simply because they are cheaper and easier to learn and more available. About the clip the sound of the Berliner wind section is fantastic and Wenzel Fuchs(as I'm a clarinetist) is a great player

Lovely! Your sound quality is the best one can find on KZbin. (really phantastic.) And I think more symph. orchestras should follow in your footsteps! (=create their own KZbin-site.) How about a little vintage? Some Furtwängler? Or Antonia Brico? (first woman ever to conduct your orchestra.)

Woww just take Karl Leister who retired from the Orchestra in 1993,and Dieter Klöcker and compare them to Wenzel Fuchs and Sabine Meyer. You barely here those days that they are German players playing on Würlitzer clarinets. The line between systems and national schools are more and more unclear. Just the sound of the Wind section in the Berliner Philharmoniker is totally different today than it was 20-30 years ago. I

Na it's a Wagner Tuba. Notice that it's left handed. I think that it suits the style of this piece a little better. Listen to 1:45. This kind of color is hardly achieved with a "usual" horn. At least for me. In this part, it kinda sounds like a tenor horn. (I hope that this is what it's called in English :D)

@TORazorback
@TORazorback 6 жыл бұрын
J. Castro 192 It’s a Wagner Tuba! It’s a baritone-range instrument played by horn players for niche orchestral situations that was developed by Wagner for his Ring Cycle. It’s used in a few other composer’s work, namely Bruckner and Strauss. The instrument is often featured as part of a choir of 4 in soli sections. It sounds, to me, like a trombone with elements of the horn in its sound, especially the indirectness. I’d suggest a quick search on KZbin, it’s really quite unique!

No it isnt a paso doble. Its a european tango. And thats something else then an argentinian one. It's written by Malando an Dutch accordionist who had a show orchestra after the war. ( real tango was not known in Europe then and the typical rhytm ta ta ta ta traaaa ram ta ta ta was developed in Europe in ballroomdancing its always this style of tango playing) . Today his grandson Danny leads also a Malando orchestra
