The BEST 1/6 Scale, Rambo figure. Collect This!!!

I found this review late via your Rambo 2 review which i am also waiting for to complete my set. Totally agree with your thoughts on the “reviewers/advertisers” you mentioned, more concerned with getting a steady stream of free shit than being honest and risk upsetting their pay masters. The Sly Stallone Shop one is ok and the look they went for is pretty iconic but i feel every version from threezero is better in terms of quality and as a package….. and i gotta say the best way i could describe the Stallone shop one is as toy-ish, the boots also look fucked up. On films i think First Blood is the best, in fact one of my favourite films alongside Rocky, Rambo 2 and 3 are decent action films but because they traded the action for the originals grit and gravitas i feel they become quite standard and do t stand out like First Blood. Good review by the way.

Wow... The Original! Glad to hear you are still collecting, Ric! I agree on all points. As an adult, I much prefer First Blood and Rocky. But when the sequels were in theatres, as a 12-13 year old boy, you just couldn't beat the exuberance of Rambo 2, or Rocky 3 and 4. @@IllusionSector personally, I've never been a fan. Rooted hair on most regular releases don't look very good. But if you know how to work it, could look great. Thanks for watching!!!

You’re correct about Rambo’s expression it’s not sadness but a who gives a crap, after learning the last of his team Delores Barry he served with passed away. Sort of a last hope for a chance at normality since coming home is dashed. The sculptors for the Sly Shop figure should have rewatched the movie and gives the head sculpt a more upward eye stare, with the top part of the eyeballs hidden by the upper eyelid. More like what soldiers call a thousand yard stare. The reviewers you mentioned are obviously pandering for some reason or another. Either attention from big names or freebies, maybe both. The scale on this figure as you displayed with Arnold is accurate. If you saw Rocky 3 even Mr. T is taller than Rocky. Mr. T is 5 foot 10. Rambo 2 did solidify Stallone as THE action superstar. Action wise it is the best of the Rambo series thanks to the great screenplay written by James Cameron. For story with sincerity drama wise is First Blood the first movie. If this figure was done by JND Studios in a Rambo 2 version it would be a true museum piece. They’d hand punch rooted hair super realistic the head band would actually be tied on like a real human head no holes though resin.
