What an exquisite box. Thank you for always making this wonderful videos and sharing all the details that these antique pieces have. I collect some pieces but I have yet to buy a box like this!!

Thank you for continuing to share videos of your wonderful pieces, I find them very interesting. As a keen amateur woodworker, I can only marvel at the level of expertise that went into making a box such as this. Considering that the closest thing to automation and power available to those unknown craftsmen would likely have been a treadle fretsaw, and that they were working either by daylight of lamplight with hand tools, I am full of admiration. Whilst it has evidently been well cared for, the fact that it functions just as well today, some 190 years after being made, speaks volumes as to just how good those craftsmen were. I looked at it on your website, and can only reflect that, if, (and it's a very big if) you could find someone able to construct such a box to the same level of quality, you'd have to pay considerably more than the asking price of this piece. Then there's the added factor of it's age and provenance of the maker to consider.

Can't help but wonder if he was trained by David Roentgen especially when you said he did a lot of rosewood too
