I purchased this mic and use it with my Canon SL2 and it produces terrific sound quality, plugged directly into the camera. Very usable for KZbin videos. Great value for the $$$. Happy times! Great video Wingfield Media!!!

The Boya M1 is superior in sound to the one you have but I sold it because I hated the 20 foot cable, was ridiculously cumbersome. You helped me make my decision to order the PowerDeWise and I was offered it by an eBay seller for 10 bucks so now it’s on it’s way! It sounds great with just the right about of bass. Nice Review! Are you sure you were switching audio between the two lav mics? They sounded the same... Also, how did you get the PowerDeWise so close to your mouth without the audio clipping?

A smartphone has a lot o self noise and is not a wonderful choice to record audio. It might be better than your camera audio, but it is not quality audio. Good audio recorders, especially used, are very affordable. No reason not to do it right while being frugal. That being said, the mic does seem to have a really nice frequency range. I am definitely going to look more into this one.

Connecting it to the PC or laptop does not work without a splitter, I used the "PC Computer Headset to 3.5mm Smartphone Adapter (PC35-PH35)", but you need the input and output to be concentrated in the box that connects to the computer

I have all the cheap lav mics,my fav is the Pop Voice( $10) all units work the same ,good audio and frecuency response almost identical. The paladou was the worst of all, no low frecuencies , too thin sound. Maybe it was the unit I bought but i wont buy it anymore. My fav sound and sound of the cheap options under $20 is pop voice
