JazakAllah! I think one little detail that should be mentioned is that when pronouncing Ghunna in words like من يقول , you will blowing air from your mouth as well. So even if you were to close your nose, your mouth will still be blowing air. Otherwise it's not possible to pronounce the ي . Allah knows best.

Thank you so much for making this information accessible to us! I’m a bit confused about the ghunnah. If I understand correctly, you eliminate the sound of the moon and apply the rule of the air leaving the nostrils on the next letter? How can you blow air out of your nostrils when it’s not the natural thing for that letter? Is it something that requires practice to be able to achieve?
@Abdullah346103 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if he's answered this in his latest q/a, but in Arabic the 4 letters he's mentioned in this lesson are supposed to have ghunnah. The vowel sounds of the letters aren't nasal, just the characteristic sound. "nnn" and "mmm" have air come out only through the nose. ""vvv" and "yyy" are mostly out of the nose, but require the correct mouth shape and some air out the mouth. (I could be wrong, but this is what works for me.) If comparing to English, english only has 3 nasal sounds "n", "m", and "ng". The و isn't exactly a "v" nor a "w", and it's nasal. The ى is slightly different than a "y", in that it's nasal.

Hey bro, have you thought of doing a collab with another Quran education channel called "Free Qur'an Education" they also make vids related to learning Quran and other Islamic related content. Maybe you already are aware of this channel, I feel you both share a similar vision of helping people all over the world learn and understand Quran for free. In sha Allah take a look into it, and I hope its beneficial to both of you and the Ummah.

Salaam aleikom brother may Allah bless you. I have one question. What is the difference between these two Gunnahs, in both places we didn’t pronounce the letter (ن) So what’s the main difference I just understood the only difference which was just extending the Gunnah for 2 harakats.
@TheGeopoliticsMan10 ай бұрын
I believe you are asking about the difference for the raa and laam? If so, for the raa and laam, whenever these letters are after a noon they are to have a shaddah on them, while the ones in this video are just normal 2 haraka/standard.

My brother in allah , may allah bless you , But I wanna show to you something, for the two letters (meem and noon ) when we merge the noon sakinah with which of them, the noon will be completely gone okay. But the only thing that remains behind it is not the gunnah of the noon sakinah, this gunnah is established from the second letter that follows the noon sakinah, because the two characteristics of the noon sakinah have gone completely,, While for the (yaa and waw) letters, it's okay the nook sakinah is completely gone but the remaining thing behind it is it's gunnah...

salam aleykum brother, im so confused about harakaat if natural madd and noon sakinah both have 2 harakaat then why is noon sakinah longer than the natural madd? Jazak allahu khair!
@Arabic101 Жыл бұрын
Wa alikom asslam brother, Sorry for the late response. Yes, the ghunnah of nun sakinah does sound longer, because it is longer than 2 harakat. Strictly speaking, we should not be measuring ghunnah with harakat .. But you learn it directly from you sheikh, he listens to you, and tells you to go longer or shorter. But for sake of simplifying the concept we say 2 harakat .. But in reality they are like 2 and half harakat .. but certainly longer than natural madd. Hopefully that clears the confusion. Allah knows best, Asslamo alikom
