Great video. I started with the 3 Max in November 2023 and that worked out of the box, so I treated myself to the 4 Max in April of last year after my brother bought one and I saw how much faster it was. They sit next to each other on a sturdy table, and I assume that just like me, you took your time assembling them as per the instructions, manual leveled, auto leveled, got a good z-offset and did any other calibrations necessary. Like you, I've never used glue or even hairspray on the PEI sheets. I don't even remove the bed as the prints stick fast while it is hot, and just pop off when the plate cools down. They're brilliant machines and the only other advice I'll give is to make sure you update the firmware as per the read-me file that comes with them, and download the Ultimaker Cura slicer instead of the older Elegoo Cura that is supplied on the microSD card/USB stick. If you look carefully at my icon, the Enterprise I'm holding was printed on a Max.

I've heard this printer had a fair few issues when it was first released. Are these mostly resolved now?

Actually yes, they have been resolved. Provided the printer has up-to-date firmware AND you do the bed leveling while the bed is hot, there are basically zero issues. Neptune 4 Max owner btw.

@whynot1284 first, watch the complete setup guide for the Neptune 4/Pro/Plus/Max by WildRoseBuilds. This man saved my 3d printing life, and as long as your firmware is up to date, this video should work for you too. If it doesn't, let me know!

Thanks for the attention to detail in this video. Btw there's plate guides that you can print and put on the corners. I printed them for my n3p but don't keep them attached, just use them to align it when putting it back.

Have you tested how it prints ABS and/or Nylon?

I have with ABS and comes out as you'd expect but I did not test Nylon yet. That's the only filament i don't own as of yet. I prefer PLA and TPU
