For the people having trouble with the bottom left piston (when viewed from the front) not ejecting the block when closing the door, make sure that there is no solid block above the piston that retracts the middle left block.

Built this in modded Minecraft and the vanilla 3x3 piston door is still way cooler than anything the mods allow, especially when you have such a nice spiral animation

Amazing dude, only thing I'd change is the position of the suggested inputs, make them a little further out so you don't butt into the door as it's opening, and you get to see it spiral more clearly too

If anyone is having issues with the noteblock not 0-ticking the piston, replace it with a powered rail facing towards the piston and it should work.

The door itself works perfectly as of 1.21, although I did utilizer new materials for the zero tick generator for the door switch (copper bulbs are awesome). Just be sure not to spam it since that can break the door. I recommend using a switch with a slight delay to prevent this from happening

With the pressure plate bit I suggest putting them 5 blocks away from the door blocks you can then walk and it will open at the perfect time

Hi, at 7:24, there´s a cut. Before - doors are opened and are closing by standing on the pressure plate. After - doors are closed and opening by pressure plate. How did you do that? Can anybody help please?

You door is toggled the wrong way, it should be closed by default, and then it'll open when you stand on the pressure plates. Try going to the lime wool block and pulse it once with an observer. This will close the door, but the bottom middle block won't get put in. Simply break that block and move it up by 1. Then try standing on the pressure plate again. (COPIEED)

Question from a non adequate newbie redstone builder: What is the difference of using Note blocks and Redstone lamps compared to normal non transparent blocks in a redstone circuit?

When powered, noteblocks give out block updates and also change block state; the latter is what triggers the observers (and it doesn't add any delay) You can also use rails to do this

The pressure plate system on the inside of the door won't work for me for some reason. When ever I pres it, the piston pushing the redstone block returns to normal, but the piston pushing the block to sever the redstone dust connection keeps going hay wire. I followed step for step, yet I can't understand why this keeps happening, and only on the inside

The input is a toggle, so you just have to step on the pressure plates again before walking through to flip it to the right state
