Altera pretty much just lived as nothing but a destroyer at the time and barely remembers having had a wife, so the whole notion seems odd to her. People shit on Galatea but you have no fucking idea just how often her *recurring three-turn team-wide full debuff cleanse* has come in handy for the most absolutely-cancerous of boss fights. That, and completely shutting down a boss's natural charge gain for four turns by virtue of a guaranteed drain on her NP. That said, I don't contest Kriem being better. I just wish people would recognize Galatea has legitimate value. Having used her plenty, I know it's there.

Galatea is in a very (useful mind you) specific niche that Fino and others are not into..... Mid length'd Boss battles. While not single digit turn nor in the high 30+ turns, she allows you to have a pseudo support attacker. She needs a more specialized team to use her but, when you get the team right, all DoT effect bosses will lose.

There's certainly a tendency to dismiss characters as useless for things that aren't really an issue outside of comp clears and challenge quests. I still remember when people were calling Arjuna worse than 4* archers for his (admittedly messy) kit, despite 5* stats and battery alone making him more useful for wave clears than most others at the time.

@@crocidile90 DCS Galatea with a plugged-in Tamamo is a pretty powerful and resilient engine for most bosses, and I struggle to think of a single one in the main story that it distinctly loses to. I've ended a number of bosses with completely full HP for the entire team with all that AoE healing on top of that team's natural bulk (Defense stacking nicely with Anti-Purge definitely helps). She's definitely on the list of top boss fight units in my roster when there's not some specific gimmick that completely screws her over. Not even just DoT bosses, by the way. Any boss that habitually stuns/terrors/etc. your party, too. As well as all those boss fights where you gain debuffs by attacking the boss. There's many cases where Galatea shines. Kriem's just way more useful for farming because of that fat-ass battery. The double-stuffed bubble butt of batteries, if you will. Can't beat 50% when it comes to battery power unless you're some kind of Caster or an off-brand thereof.

@@frenchpotato8613 It will e harder to level up her Skills than levelling up her in general. You can just grind the Ember nodes for EXP. But Between her final Ascension and her skills, you need 210 Ash Remembrance... Which is brand new ascension material. So good luck on that one Gonna be a while. Just beating Traum and doing a little bit of grinding in the free quests got me the first 30 for her last ascension. Needing 60 for each skill is no where near realistic at the moment.

I got her np5 back in September when i made a new account in jp. After a week i also got a castoria. Needless to say she did insane damage. Even beat the story foreigners with her because of threat to humanity buff from castoria. Imagine my face when bosses that gave me trouble in my extremely well built na account where one shot by her. Like 300k damage with minimum investment in skills. And not only that, she dealt 300k THREE TURNS CONSECUTIVELY. SHE DID DAMAGE CLOSE TO MY 1 TURN MAX 3 TURNS IN A ROW

Also would like to point out that she has a targetable taunt and gets run with castoria who has a targetable invul. Im not saying that its always the best choice but a lot of time especially when on budget its a good option to taunt kriem the same turn she gets the castoria arts buff to save your team for 1 turn and also generate that little bit of np from kriem getting attacked. Ive heard people make jokes about taunting her but honestly with castoria its not even that bad

They're both good. For Heracles, he falls off the more developed your acc is, cause it's rare to get a full wipe with a decently built account. The bond CE stats don't help either, but ofc he is a fun solo unit nonetheless.

I gambled for an NP2 Charlemagne. I did get him, but I also got 4 Kreimhild and 0 Roland. Good to know she's a solid investment. Normally I dislike Berzerkers, but I'm willing to make exceptions for Heracles, Morgan and now Kreimhild.

NP2 is the usual gold standard for DPS and if you're going to use her over Vlad, that's especially important since Vlad isn't story locked and also has NP upgrade. Also have to consider that Vlad has a 5 turn CD attack buff, and he has an easier time looping NP without needing facecards. I wouldn't roll for her in Traum banner especially if you already have (NP2+) Vlad imo.

She would need a _lot_ of investment to overcome that, especially outside of her niche.

@@fgostoryteller2168 Eh... note that she had nearly two years of hype prior to Summer Castoria. Kriemhild _will_ often outperform Vlad at similar level and NP levels (and often at lower levels, too), with a lower party cost and easily a higher np level. 120 np5 is a *lot* of additional stats, though; regardless of Kriemhild's natural advantage over Vlad, that sheer level and NP difference is a lot for her to overcome.

Single Art Beserkers always up each other with how Vlad and Galatea's are shifting then here comes Kriemhild with how good she is and then there's Summer Castoria whose good on her while also having her own niche but Kriemhild is possibly easier to get due to 4 Star Ticket existing if you ever pick her next year.
