What a shame most manufacturers offer mesh jackets in black only. Here is southern Portugal you need white, or silver grey at the most. I’d love a Knox, but only offering them in black is crazy😟

Bought A*s mesh jacket, haven't got a chance to wear it this summer in Ireland, if we can call it summer...today was 10 degrees in the morning, so far the warmest morning I had to commute this year lol

Ive got the older version of the RST mesh jacket. Had it for a year now. Very good quality, nice and cool in hot weather (on the few days a year we have some) and zip attachment is great. Liner makes it a more usable jacket in more weather conditions. Not so good is its a very short jacket when off the bike and the outside pockets are very small, cant fit mobile phone in them, so I use inside one instead.

Hi Tony, Thanks for the video. I'm in the market for a mesh summer jacket. Interestingly, the RST Pro Series Ventilator XT is the only jacket I've considered from this video. I have been looking at the; RST Pilot Evo Air, Rev'it Airwave 4, Rev'it Control Air H2O, and the Knox Urbane Pro MK3. It would be great to get some comments on these. It's worth me noting that I'm only considering AA or AAA CE rated jackets. It would also be good to hear which trousers, gloves, and boots you pair with these jackets for the most breathable, ventilated riding experience. Of course, the Ventilator, Rev'it Airwave, and Knox from my list have a trouser counterpart, but what would you pair with the others? And which boots and gloves. A big comment (sorry). Thanks! Dan

I have the Rev-it mesh jacket and the quality is aweful, felcro straps never stay attached which is a massive distraction when riding and I just don't bother with them anymore. Hardly worn it and did this from day one

My only criticism of these types of jacket (and I have 2x different jackets) is that they never seen to have a pocket big enough for a phone to be snuggly housed.

I know you guys say the best items are the ones with the most ratings but I really don't agree with that way of thinking. The Rev'it Nucleus is by far the best summer jacket. Pair it with the Oxford Bright waterproof jacket and you're laughing. I do anyway.

It's a balance between the average customer rating, the quantity of ratings, the more detailed feedback in those reviews and then my own opinion on those products. If I think something needs adding in to the list then I'll put it there. The Nucleus jacket is impressive, but two reviews wasn't enough for me to replace jackets that have proven popular with a greater number of riders.
