Hey guys! There's an error in this video. At 02:37 the Active 75Ts water resistance is listed as IP55 when it should have been IP57. It's actually just as water resistant as the new 4 Actives. My bad! 😞

I just got me the Jabra Elite 4 Active. I'm very happy with them. For listening to music + making/receiving calls they are absolutely great value, especially for the NZ$155 I bought them for. ANC isn't perfect but it's good enough to cut out the vacuum sound while I do some vacuuming or the TV audio of some boring programme my missus's watching--while I watch something more interesting on KZbin on my phone--without having to leave the sitting room. The hear-through is good enough, at this price point. I don't need to take them off to hear the missus calling me from outside--while the music is going. I can hear cars and people approaching from behind or from out of peripheral vision and dogs barking--when I go for my walks. The fitting is nice and tight but still comfortable. They never felt like falling out--when I e.g. hit the F2C and kick/boxing bag in my garage gym. Of course these buds aren't perfect. The music quality is good and the volume is ample. Haven't done a water-proof test but while I may go for a walk in light showery weather--I don't intend to go swimming with these on. The battery life is great. I only use these buds in 3 to 10 minute bursts, most days for calls or when doing chores--with an up to 30 minute session every 2 or 3 days. I work from home so I don't know how they'd fare battery-wise on commutes. But at the rate I'm using them, they're gonna last well over a week before the next full charge. For the price, these are great wireless earbuds. I've got a pair of Jabra Evolve2 75s, which I use for call-based work. These obviously have superior call/music volume & quality, ANC etc but at NZ$545, are they 3.6 times better--as their comparative price differences would suggest? Certainly not. I think the Elite 4 Active gives more value for the money.

Hold on to the 75t as long as you can. I have the Elite 7 Pro expecting it's an upgrade. Nope. It's a massive downgrade. The 75t sound is top notch. The Elite 7 Pro is a mess on the mids. Every sound in the mids is smashed in to each other that it makes them sound like they are arguing who takes the channel first.

I hv the 75t elites, managed to leave them out of state but I can't work out without ear buds so I went and purchased the elite4 to hv some now and also a replacement for when 75s make it home... I've tested the elite 3, elite 4, 7 pro and 7 active in real calls without telling the person I talked to which headphones i used. I had them connected to pixel 6. The 7 active performed the best indistinctively from normal phone. 7 pros were good too but with lower volume. The 3 and 4 were the same and performed worse. While they were still very good, they both sounded as if I was far from phone. Can't understand how in your test the 4 can sound better than 7?

I think I saw something on reddit where they state that the way most youtubers test the mic is incorrect because it is not the same as if you were to call someone, and then record the phone of the person on the other end which would capture the true quality of the mic during a phone call. I've always wondered about these mic recordings as way to judge the phone call quality as well...might be the reason why you had different results.

I realize I'm 3 months late, but if your Actives are like my 75t make sure the volume isn't too low on the headphones, separate from your phone's volume. It's happened to me a couple of times, probably after a reboot/Bluetooth reconnect. Hold down the button on the right earbud until it beeps at you indicating max volume. Hopefully if this is the case you've already solved the issue months ago.

Strangely apart from the Huawei Freebuds Pro, all high-end earbuds that supposedly have dedicated hardware for phone calls in noisy environments are pretty bad at it 🤔. I think manufacturers would do better to put better quality microphones like Soundcore and put at least 3 or 4 per earbuds like Technics.
