Best investment I’ve ever made was going to VAS. Thank you Guy Grand for the years of service to this industry! From T.I.

Matt, Great interview! Guy, I hope to meet you someday. You are spot on! I believe veterans make some of the best adjusters, partially because we have been drilled with process and procedure. The military term is “Task to Standard.” In addition, we have learned to adapt in a chaotic environment! In my view, I can only speak for Florida; the industry shot itself in the foot by forcing itself to adopt the task model. This was followed by NO fee schedule increase for 8 years and shorter turnaround times. Then, the carrier began hiring Desk Adjusters with no field experience; DAs are also on a very tight timeline and don’t have time to research things like 3rd party fake or manipulated invoices or inconsistent photos that are not from the same incident provided by the insured. Many IAs have changed to PAs in Florida because they couldn’t survive on the IA fee. Fortunately, this industry survives out of necessity and is somewhat recession-proof. Being an IA, Appraiser, and Building Consultant, I see many failures that could have been resolved in the field if only we had the authority we no longer are granted. And yes, there are so many versions of Prime and Paint 1 coat vs. 2 coats. And now, 1% matching, oh my, is that not going to blow up the industry? You are correct; consistency is key and the result of good training. The IA not only has to earn respect as an Adjuster, but we also need to be compensated for our technical skill set! I am an entrepreneur; my passion keeps me in this business.

Matt- That video is freaking awesome. Who is that Guy Grand :-) Really though, it was such a pleasure hanging with you in Montana. I know many of your viewers might want some extra process training so let them know that after the first of the year, we'll have a new 4-day course on how to follow the VAS Process. Thanks for what you do, you're number 1 now.

Way to go Guy! It’s Eli from class #42. I’m still going strong with dailys in the North East. I’m in CT now, running claims here and in Rhode Island for the most part. Glad to hear that you’re plotting your next move.

Hi, does ones reputation hang on one fixable mistake, or a career complainer ? Does the company above protect or harm an adjuster ? Thanks ❤

So the school isn’t moving to KY? I thought that was the plan. I’m heart broken! I was going to attend the May class but decided to wait until it was moved to KY.😢

I know! I think the entire industry is pretty sad. But we still have training at adjustertv.com/certify that Guy endorses.

I'm confused. So is VAS not active anymore?
@gramarmy2 ай бұрын
They are not. The owners/partners wanted to retire. They tried having prior graduates take the business over but it didn’t work out due to having to try to move the school to a new state.

@ dammit, I’m just retiring from the army and was looking forward to attending the school. I want to become an IA, but I want to be trained properly

For what it's worth, Guy has endorsed our Fast Track to Deployment program at adjustertv.com/certify

Is Xactimate training writing claims? Is there a math tutorial with adjuster pro?
