Okay you two have officially BLOWN ME AWAY!! First off, those climbs were awesome...I mean AWESOME! The technicality of those climbs were far and away so far from my own climbing experience and you both did such a great job whichever you chose to do AND you did it all while filming and filming with such elegance while showing the difficult parts of the climb. It was truely an epic video. KIKA, DAMN GIRL!!! Watching you power through some of those climbs was, was, was....WOWZERS! I would have been screaming for my mommy at certain points....or worse. Curious if you felt that your work with those silks that you shown a few times, did they give you muscles in areas that you were aware of while climbing? That's all that was going through my mind when you did some of those lunges and stretches to grab an outcrop. DAMN!!! and then you both go and climb in the dark to top it all off! Most ordinary mortal human beings would have just focused on the climbing and scrambling out before the shadows got long as the day ended...you both did a titanic trifecta, climbing and belaying multiple times, filming it all like film directors and then climbing in the dark. When I grow up I want to be just like you both...I'm not even going to think as others might, that I will do the same as you two. NO WAY!! You are both inspiring to the rest of us mere mortals. Thank you brightening up my day.

Kika is a badass. Remember learning how to rappel while in the military it was scary at first but fun when you learn how to do it.
@GordLamb2 жыл бұрын
Few years ago a buddy and I were doing a 4 pitch climb late in the season. We were slow, and at the 3rd belay station someone from down below yelled up about headlamps. I thought they were just making fun of our ... uninspired pace. Glanced down at my watch and realized the sun was going to set in less than an hour, and we still had two full pitches to send, a 250m ridge walk, and rappel. No lights... and I was wearing prescription sunglasses, lol. I've never climbed so fast! We topped out in twilight, and then made our way along with ridge with my buddy shining his phone in front of me so I could more or less see where I was stepping. Rapped down in pitch black. Not our finest day out. :p

GUYS, YOU NAILED IT! This climbing episode was, IMHO, the most surprising, intense and rewarding episode of your 300+ videos! You caught everything, with wedged-in cameras and drone shots, and you finished with an unexpected and thrilling night climb!!! From now on, sailing will take a back seat(?), and your last title sounds like a prophecy: "We are no Sailing Channel any more!" (and Kika @27:20, you finally explain why you wear that Svalbard headband upside down!)
