Because clones are garbage, if you are buying a clone because you can’t afford the real thing that is fine and understandable. But no, they don’t compare to the authentic fragrance most people know this and the KZbinrs that recommend clones know this. I saw someone on a video saying that CDIM smells better than Aventus, obviously must be some sort of sponsored content because CDIM smells like absolute crap.

@luism8130 there are plenty of designer/niche releases that are absolute crap and there are clone houses that do an insane job for the money. It's all relative. You're acting like the average Joe can just casually buy an entire collection of fragrances. If they like a certain profile and can get that for less money and have more variety in their collection, so be it. That's why it's nice when they review the good clones, so people know which ones are worth looking into out of the vast amount of them. Not to mention it's not like you can go to a store most of the time and test them.

Man robes08 was right about these fragrance reviewers. They all lose every sense of originality, honesty, and genuine taste as soon as they get their hands on a sponsorship. I used to enjoy School of Scents when his content wasn't as sponsored. He had a lot of blunt and real takes that I agreed with, and I could tell that the fragrances he recommended were actually special to him. It's a shame what money can do to people.

Stop reading the notes on fragrantica please there wrong most of the time 😅. I've not been impressed with the 20 or so middle Eastern fragrances I've bought there all quite linear and overly sweet mostly sanlewood and vanilla always are prominent. Also there all designed for hotter weather . As they don't project well in the winter. Better of just buying a fragrance oil from al sunnah or perfume parlour ect. Every afmaf fragrance one tried have been utter crap. Yes there cheap but not worth paying money for them . I've owned over 100 fragrances so I know fragrances well.
